[C] [E]
What up [B] guys?
Mike Gross here at RockingGuitarLessons [Bm].com and YouTube.com slash RockingGuitarLessons1.
That's White Lion [B] with Hunger.
I know, love guitarist Mark.
I know you'll dig this, but this is per request of Karate56 because he was giving me a hard
time for so many Dream Theater songs and just like he was really pissed off about it.
So I was like, all right dude.
Actually, I didn't say nothing.
I made him wait.
But you know what?
This is a good request KarateMan because I don't think there's even any lessons on this out there.
One thing I noticed in the studio, and this was the person that uploaded this, it's played
in F and then when they played live, it was played in E.
So I don't know if they pitched
it up in the studio or what, but this is off the live, all their concerts, it was played [E] in E.
[Em] So, in fact, live he [E] slides into it, you know, one of these right around fret 17 sliding
in and then go two palm muted E's, standard.
So yeah, we're standard tuning.
Did I say that?
I don't know, but I did.
[B] Vito Brata is the man.
Okay, let's [E] start.
[C] [E]
[C] [B] [E] Pinky 10 A, and then two more palm muted E's.
Third finger 9 A, pull off to 7.
[C] [Bm] And then go middle finger [E] 8 E.
A little bit of a pinch harmonic [Bm] and vibrato on that.
[B] Very much like Eddie Van Halen, that's what I loved about Vito, but [E] he still had his own
uniqueness to him.
[C] And then palm mute that E again on fret 8 that you're already on.
[C] Pinky 10 A.
Palm mute that 8 E again.
And [B] then third finger 9 [F#] A.
[E] Low E open [G] palm muted.
And then [B] basically a G major chord.
Middle finger 3 E.
Purposely bend it down a little bit, angle [E] it to mute the A, and
then you're going to have open D, open [Bm] G.
Third fret B, third finger, third fret high [G] E pinky.
[E] [C]
So, [E] try it again.
[C] [E] Then start it over.
[B] Up until the 8th right middle finger on the E.
Then he does this cool little Eddie Van [Am] Halen riff.
[E]
[F#] Alright, first finger 4 [E] on the A, you're going to double hammer.
You're going to pick [B] the A, hammer to 5 and hammer to 7 with your middle finger and B.
[E]
And then do the same thing on the D string.
Then do the same thing on the G string, 4 5 7.
[D] [B] Then same thing on the D string, 4 5 7.
[Am] [E]
Then go 4 G [B] with your first finger, hammer to 5 with your middle finger and [E] pull off
back to 4.
[A] [B]
Cool little riff to work on for double hammers.
[E] [Bm] Alright, so [B] Karate Man and Mark and anyone else that's on this lesson, [Bm] for you guys,
a very underrated guitar player with White Lion, Vito Brata.
He should be up there with the greats, man.
He is to us, but a great player.
So [B] thanks for requesting this, man.
If you have [D#] any questions, let me know.

And that's what it's about [B] with me.
I want to keep it true to the original.
Except in this case, because the original [F] would be
[C#] That'd be something [F] like that.
[Bm] So, go check it out and see.
Maybe it's the dude that uploaded it.
But I think they did do it in F on CD.
Or record, we should be calling it vinyl.
That's what it was.
Or cassette tape.
Cassette tape back then.
I remember having to get rid of all my records.
I had so many.
I still have a bunch.
Because cassette tapes came out.
That was [G] the cool thing.
[B] And it's like, man, I don't want to get all these again.
And then I did.
And it's like, man, this is the best thing in the world.
And then CDs came out.
And it's like, oh man.
I don't have to rewind.
I can just hit a button.
And then now CDs.
I mean, CDs are still around.
But it's like you've got everything digital.
Which is freaking way cool.
[Bm] So, anyways, why am I talking about that?
I don't know.
