Hello darling, how are ya?
Round about the time we were forming Dr Feelgood, I received the Red Boot album as a Christmas present or something or other.
I've played that constantly.
I stood on these people, you know, you sort of think, oh, you know, this is spinning.
You start listening, you think, oh, we're off good.
I found over the years, apart from just being able to go, jacking, and, and, and, I'm useless.
He can't play the guitar.
Well, I mean, what can I say about a bloke who claims he can't play the guitar when he's really good on the guitar?
I don't know, you know.
You can't be that good and not know it.
No, I'm a dead loss at the guitar.
[Fm] I can say often use it for just writing on, but on [N] stage, pretty neff, actually.
I'll tell you what, he's really good.
He's like, he used to work in a music shop, you know, sometimes you go in there and he would pick up a guitar and he'd just sit, he'd just sit there and it might, I don't know, maybe it might be simple or something.
It's just got this, it's got that thing, it's got this feeling, you just feel it as soon as it starts, you know, and [B] he can, he's a great guitar player.
[Dm] It's something you can't, you can't really define it.
You [A] can't say it's in this or in that.
It's just that thing when two people that love this [D] music and we'll start to talk and they go, [N] it's got it, they know it's got it, they know what they're talking about, it's that thing, it's that feeling.
I don't know how it's produced or what, but you can hear, you know, I mean some of the most famous musicians in this country, you know, and everybody thinks they're this, that and the other, but they haven't got it.
You know, they might be clever, but they haven't got that thing.
And he's got tons of it.
[B] [D]
He's one of the absolute best singers I've ever heard.
I mean, when he's really in full cry, it's just, it's very, very good and it's very unusual.
