Hey all
[F#] [G#] kind of request from a friend [F#] whose
Daughter is [D#m] trying to learn this one
[F#] So I'll try to go through a lesson.
That's fairly simple
[N] the first thing is if you're going to play along with the
Recording of it.
I think there's tuned slightly down not sure but the low your e would [D#] be there
[D#m] So [D#] [F#]
your G is this and when you play your G chord on this one sometimes you'd play a G with just three fingers
With the B string open on this one you want to play
With the G string covered at the third fret so you got [N] sorry with the
B string covered third fret so it would [F#] sound like this so it starts with this [G#] little
[C#] [D#m] Right
[F#]
and that let's break this down into pieces because when you break it down and then do it one little section [N] at a time
It's actually not so you [F#] start with
[G#] [C#] [D#] [F#]
But G string at sorry E [G] string at third [F#] fret the G note
[G#] [A#] that next [G#] part is [A#] a string hammer down at the [F#] second fret [G#] [A#] and
Then D string hammered on the [C#] second fret [D#] [D#m]
[F#] [G#] [F#] [C#] [D#]
[C#] [D#] that last one [C#] is [D#] D string open
That's then at the second fret [F#] so the first one
[D#m]
The first on the a [A#] string you you pluck it once and [D#] hammer it on on the D string
You're actually talking it twice so so far.
[F#] It's just that
[G#] [C#] [D#] [D#m]
Right and then you just drum [F#] it through
the B and the high e the B and the high e stay covered at the
Third fret through this little [G#] thing
[C#] [D#] [D#m]
That's a good one to exercise your strumming because it's not a mechanical kind of strum.
It's really a feel
[D#] Kind of strong so [F#] you're here
[G#] [C#] So [D#m]
[F#] you're back [D#m] to G that second part is
So [C#] [D#]
let's D string second fret
[F#] open G string
[D#] D string second fret and then D string [C#] open
[F#] Then into a G [D#m] chord
[C#] [F#] Then back to the beginning
[G#] [C#] [D#m] So
[C#] [F#]
[C#] [D#m]
that's where we are so far, and then this next [D#] part goes
[C#]
[D#m]
right that one is oh
D [D#] string second fret [C#] then open
D string [A#] open then a string second [G#] fret and an a string [F#] open
Into this chord which is [D#m] exactly the same as the E minor one [F#] you just did except now the [D#m] a strings open I
[F#] [C#]
Get better with the G string open on that one rather than covered [F#] the second so you make it a seventh chord
[D#m] [C#] [G#]
[F#] so that chord is [G#] a string open D at second G open and
Again all throughout this B and E cover the third fret
[D#m] so
[G#] [F#]
[D#m] after this
[G#] [F#] That's a [G#] string
[F#] Hammer it on [G#] to the second fret then
Open [F#] [G#]
a string [F#] to G chord
Now we're [G#] going to assume the little guitar
[C#] [Bm] That's all through and now we're [F#] into the first fret the first verse
[B] So right he hits a [F#] C.
You want to play the
Bass note the G bass note [B] on that C chord so it's a C, but cover the G note E string third fret
[F#] [C#] That's a D and on the D you want to again if you're a purist [A#] you want to cover the
Low E string at the second fret reach over with your thumb you don't have to but you can [C#] hear that note
It is it not alone.
Oh, which again is the same
Note as this high E string [F] those are both
So [C#] it's just another note on the D chord
from [G#m] hell a minor
blue [F#] skies from G
You [C#m] wanna you [F#] can sort of play around with those G chords by hammering
The a string of the second fret
[C#] The
[F#] Steel [B] C
Down a mile
[G#m]
[F#]
G
[B] C
[D#m] [C#]
The [G#m]
[F#]
D
[C#]
Say more ground that one
[B] C
[G#m]
a minor
Do you think?
[F#]
[D#m]
That's right back to the intro the [G] beginning and that's the whole thing
[F#] Fairly simple if you just do one little phrase at a [G#] time
[D#m]
[C#] [F#] [D#m]
[F#]
[D#] [D#m]
[G#] [D#m] [F#]
[B] [N] That goes in it kind of goes heavy into that last verse
But it is a good one for training your strumming to to get a little bit more intense in places and a little softer in [F#] places
You're gonna [A] practice [F#] so good luck
[G#] [N]
Down a mile
[G#m]

[D#m] [C#]
The [G#m]
[F#]
D
