[Eb] Hi and welcome to Dr.

Welcome!
Hi and welcome to Dr.
Mix!
On this episode I am going to show you famous tunes played with the Wurlitzer electric piano.
Coming up!
[D]
[Dm] Hi,
[D]
how have you guys been?
Good to see you here.
Today I'm sitting in front of the Wurlitzer because I want to be a [C] little bit [Eb] comfy because
you know I'm gonna play a few tunes for you.
If you haven't checked the other video that I've done about it, please do so by clicking
maybe here or maybe a link in the description.
And remember to subscribe if you haven't already, that really helps us a lot.
So many famous tunes played with the Wurlitzer, I don't know where to start from.
I'm gonna start from the obvious.
[F] [Eb]
[F] [Ebm]
[E] Done by the French horn.
Yeah, I love this one.
[A]
[E]
[B]
[A] [E]
[A]
[E]
[B] [A]
[D] [Dbm] [C] Yeah, I cannot play like Ray Charles but you know, you get the gist.
Next!
[Cm]
When I was young
[Gm]
[Bb] I'm not gonna sing for you.
I'm [Eb]
gonna [F] spare you.
[Cm] [Ab]
[Gm] [Bb]
[Ab] [F]
And [Eb] I really like
[Ab]
[F] [Db] [Fm] Etc.
[Bbm] [G] Yeah, I was very young.
Speaking of when I was young, you may not know this but you know, jazzers in different
countries have different favorite standards.
I was raised in Italy and I've been living in London for like 16 years and you know,
after having lived in America for a couple of years.
So back in my days in Italy, we used to jam a lot around this specific tune which is a Cannonball Adelies.
It's called Mercy Mercy Mercy and it was originally played on a Wurlitzer.
Now I'm gonna try to remember it and play it for [Bb]
you.
[D] [Eb]
[Bb] [D]
[Dm] [Eb]
[Bb] [D] [Dm] [Eb]
[Bb]
[Db] [Eb] [Bb]
[Eb]
[Bb]
[D] [Eb] [F]
[Bb] [D] [Eb]
[F] [Bb] [C]
[Cm] [Dm]
[Gm] [F]
[Gm] [F] [Gm] [N]
Go [Bb] go.
[Db] [D] [E] And we would play this incessantly.
Alright, next tune.
[Am]
[D] [A] [Em] [Gb] [A]
[D] [A]
[Am]
[D] [Am] [Em] [Gb]
[A] [D] [A]
Now this one is just an honorable mention because number one, I cannot play this part.
Number two, my A here is stuck and I can't do it but you know, I'm talking about Get
Back by The Beatles.
It's got Billy Preston there playing the Rhodes.
Etc.
But it's in the middle of the arrangement.
The only time you can really hear it is when he breaks out in this solo.
[D]
[Dm] [Bb] It does sort of this kind of bluesy madness and I just thought I'd mention it.
But now let me play another song by the Supertramp because I [Ab] love them.
[Db]
[Ab]
[Db] [Ab]
[Gb] [Fm]
[Db]
[Bbm] [Ab] Oh my stranger, [C] [Ab]
[F] [Fm] I wish I could sing.
No.
[C]
And to conclude this episode, I'm gonna play the intro to The Queen, My Best Friend, which
goes like this.
[F] [C] [N]
