Hello, I'm Tony from Bonner's Music and we offer the very best prices in the UK for part exchanging your existing instrument for a new Yamaha Genos.
Anyway, I'm here today to answer a question that lots of people have asked me which is [Em] regarding Organ World.
If you had a Tyros 5 you'll know that there was a great feature on it
which was called Organ World where Yamaha had put together lots of famous organs [Am] from around the world all in one section of the
keyboard.
Now on first glance it would look like on the Genos that this is missing
but it isn't.
All of the sounds are there in Genos.
They've just all been put inside the [D] organ category rather than having their own separate button called Organ World.
So in this movie
I'm going to show you how to find all the organ sounds that you knew and loved from your Tyros 5.
So here we go.
So we're going to start off again with the gateway buttons which are the white
buttons on the right hand side of the keyboard and we're going to press the voice button.
Which brings up our voice display and
I've got CFX Concert Grand selected.
So let's
highlight that or choose that and
now we want to go to the organ voices.
So we're going to select the organ category and
from here we need to choose an organ sound that has organ flutes written in small letters above it.
So the first one I can see here is the Jazz Standard.
So let's choose that.
Now if we want to get the drawbars up to create your own
organ sound press the menu button and
voice edit and there we have the drawbars and the sliders, your long black sliders just to the left of the screen control your drawbars.
So that's how you can find the
typical sort of Hammond B3 type sound and I must say [Cm] I really like on Genos these nice long sliders.
It's [N] much more natural for creating a drawbar sound.
Let's come out of there again.
So I'm going to press the X button and let's explore some of the other organ sounds.
So let's go through the different pages we've got here.
I'm going to page 3 and
this is where we're going to find the European organ sound.
So let's for instance just choose any one of these ones that says organ flutes above it in small letters and press the menu
and press the voice edit and there we go.
There's a European drawbar sound and that's the Verzi type organ sound.
So as you can see, they're all in there.
Genos hasn't lost organ world.
It's just incorporated the voices into
the main sound categories.
Some of the other ones you've got all of the presets from the classical organs that were featured in Tyros 5.
You've also got all of the theatre organ sounds.
These were all the sounds that were in organ world.
They've all been transferred.
They're all stored in the organ category now and even
if we go a little bit further along we go to the home organ sounds.
Now these were the your typical sort of Lowry type organ sounds.
So we choose home theatre organ, press menu,
voice edit and there we go.
There's all the tabs that you had
before which were on Tyros 5.
It's all in Genos.
So [Cm] thanks very much for watching this movie, and I do hope you enjoy playing Genos.
