[Db] _ _ Hi there guys, I'm here today to talk to you about the Vanova, Yamaha's new wind instrument.
[C] Yamaha are advertising this as a casual wind instrument.
What they mean by [Eb] that is you can essentially take it anywhere.
To the beach, to the [G] garden, even into your own bathroom if you wanted to.
It's made of nice lightweight ABS resin
which makes it both durable and waterproof.
If you look at the bottom here, we've got a squiggly body underneath
which is Yamaha condensing the saxophone down into a smaller size.
We've also got a branch pipe at the top.
This allows us to produce both a brighter and louder tone as well as over blowing on the octave and hitting some of those
high notes.
The fingering system is based upon a recorder.
It fits really nicely under little fingers as well as adults fingers.
We've got a two octave diatonic range C major, but we can also play chromatic fingerings as well.
This allows us to play all sorts of music from classical to pop to funk to rock
and even film tunes.
It's really easy and fun to play and it's supplied with
everything you need to get you started.
We come with a Yamaha mouthpiece, a ligature, a synthetic reed
although on this one, I've put on a cane reed to produce a rounder sound.
We also have a mouthpiece cap and a nice lightweight and durable case
so you don't have to worry about it when you're taking it around with you.
