I [Eb]
[Dm] [Eb]
[G]
[D] think this song falls into the category of longitude and very simple.
It's really simple to play because it's only four chords.
For this version, [Gb] I'm going to have the campo down here, the third one.
You'll see other people play it with the campo.
I think you'll find it easier to learn down here because the chords are really standard chords that you will have come across before.
So we're going to cover verse chorus and we're also going to cover that little intro sequence that I played,
[G] which you can use at the start of the song and then you can use it in the middle.
It's a lovely little intro sequence between moving back to the chorus and back to the intro.
So we'll cover that today.
[Dm]
So [Gb] let's just get into it.
The four chords that you're going to need.
[Gm] First of all, C.
[Eb]
[Bb] [G]
[Cm] [G] And then the 7th.
[Ab]
[Dm] All standard, very simple three finger chords.
[D]
Right, the core [Db] [G] strumming sequence for each chord then.
[Bb] [Eb]
[D]
[Gb] Let's just put the first part of the verse together.
I'm just using that core sequence.
C, [Eb]
[Bb] G,
[D] A [Cm] minor, F [G] major [Ab] 7.
[Cm] [D]
The little chorus sequence, once you've [Gb] played that verse twice, the little chorus sequence is again very simple.
Starts off with [Gm] F major 7, that's just two down strokes.
[Ab] [Bb]
Then move to C and do the strum sequence.
[Eb]
[D] Now when you've got
[D] that little core sequence down, then you can start to build in and start to progress.
[A] [Ab] Start to build in from the 18th and 16th notes.
[G] Just to improve the playing, I'll improve the sound.
The simplest thing to add [A] is a little four stroke infill [D] sequence between your chord changes.
But don't worry about that just now, do that once you've got it down.
This is just a little example of how you can progress on.
[Eb] [Bb]
[Cm]
[Eb]
[Bb]
[Gm] [G]
Strumming sequence, it's a little four stroke, little 16th notes, four stroke infill between your [Gm] chord changes.
This adds so much.
[Gb] Right, so let's cover [Gm] the little intro sequence.
And again, it's really quite simple, [D] you can get it down quickly.
So have your index finger on the string, [Eb]
[G] index finger on that.
I'm going to play it first.
The first string that you're going to play is [Eb] the third string up with it, the G string.
Right, so let's just take this sequence very [G] slowly.
So third string up, move [Bb] [D] down, play the B string once with your finger on, [Eb] once with your finger off it, and [Gm] then once with your finger on.
Again, [Eb]
first four notes.
[Gm] [D] Move on from there, then all you're going to do is you're going to keep [Gm] that finger on that same string, slide it up, [Gb] [G]
[Gm] back down, play it [Eb] again.
[D]
[Bm] Finger back on it.
[Eb]
So that whole sequence is really played on that B
[G] string.
[Eb]
[Bb]
[Eb]
[Eb] Two more notes [D] to add on.
And those two finished [G] notes are third string from the top, [Gm] have your middle finger, put your middle finger, [G] D string, [E] at the second fret.
Alright, and what you're going to do, quite simple, is you're going to play it once there, [G] [Ab] slide it up to the third fret, [D] play it.
[Gm] And that's the whole
[Eb]
[Bb] [Eb] [G]
[G] Maybe you can go on to the next.
[Eb] [Gm] The [D] way I play it, it's up to you.
Play the little intro sequence, then play a verse, then a chorus, then use the little intro sequence as an infill between going back from your chorus back to your verse.
And that's about it.
