Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel
So today we will do an introduction to guitar.
So if you have bought your first guitar [G] or you are thinking about buying one
So this will be your first lesson before you actually start playing guitar.
[D] So let's get started
So [G]
basically guitar has three parts.
So first is head, second is the neck and the last one is the body
So let's start with the head first.
So what is in the head?
We have six tuners [B] which are used to [Em] tune these six strings
Okay, so [E] for example
This is E note
So [Eb] I'm detuning it right now
Now tuning [E] it back
Okay, now it's again E
So basically we set these strings on a tuning which is called standard tuning
So we can do different tunings but in the beginning the tuning will remain standard
Okay, so in the function here.
The next comes is the neck.
Okay neck
Where does it start?
It starts from here.
You can see this Creamy nut
From here to here is the neck and the rest is the body
So what is the function of this nut?
The strings and fretboard have a distance between them.
It maintains that distance.
So our strings start from here
And go from here to here and rest here and then it goes to the tuner
After that comes the fretboard
And this fretboard is further divided into frets
This is the first fret, second fret, third, fourth and so on till 20
After that comes the guitar.
If you look carefully, you will find a dot here
Here on 7th, 9th and 12th, then 15th, 17th and 19th
Those dots tell you where you are in the fretboard.
It is not in this guitar but it [B] is here
When you play, you will check these dots
Can you see that?
Because [G] when you play, this part will be visible, not this part
Okay, so here is our [E] fretboard.
After that comes the body of guitar
Body of guitar.
We also call the body of guitar as sound box.
What is the main function of the body of guitar?
If you play a note, [A] it is still in the background
Still vibrating still you can hear the sound of the note
So basically what it does is, it amplifies the note you played.
So your note will be echoing for a long time
So it's an amplifier, acoustic amplifier.
For example, if you have
You must have seen your electric guitar.
Electric guitars are very small.
I mean, their body is very thin.
This is a big body
Right, their body is very small and we connect their sound with amplifier and then we play it
But in this, we can [G] play it like this because we have got the amplifier here and
Acoustic guitars are also electroacoustic so that when you are doing stage performance, you can connect it with an amplifier so that the sound
vibrates better and goes far.
So this guitar is also electroacoustic.
Let me show you
Here you can see this is the control settings
When you connect it with the amplifier, we have treble, middle, bass, volume option
There is also a tuner but I have never used it because there is a tuner in mobile phones these days
So I don't use this one and here goes the battery with which this thing works
And this battery, I don't have it now, but I think I have it
So I don't use it, but it is like this
Then after that, we have this jack option to connect with the amplifier
Then here you can see the nut for the guitar strap.
So if you want to play the guitar while standing, you can just
Here is another nut, so you can put the strap here and then it will go down there to here and
You can play while standing.
So that was the body but in body there are these things here you see
This is the bridge pin.
These are the bridge pins that hold the strings here so that the strings
are not stuck here and cannot come out so that we can play
So after that you can see [Ab] this nut here
[A] This yellow, this creamish thing.
This is another nut which is called saddle
So the function of this nut here is that it keeps a distance between the fretboard and the strings
Similarly, this saddle keeps a distance between the strings and the body of the guitar.
[G] Can you see?
So this is the hole where the sound is coming.
So this is our life with the guitar
So if you are going to play your guitar, then you should know a little bit about what is the sound of the guitar
So I think that's all for today and see you in the comment section below.
So till the next video.
