Hey guys, I want to do a really special guitar lesson for you today.
This guitar lesson is for the song clouds by [G#] Zack Sobiak
if [B] you guys haven't heard Zack story or
don't know who Zack Sobiak is please click on the link and
There's a great little video that that you should watch.
It's just [G#] amazing this this kid.
He's 17 years old and
He only had six months to live so he wrote this song and I believe he wrote a couple other songs, too
but it's a great song [A#] and I'd like to do this for Zack and his memory, so
Starting off you want to [G#] have your capo on the second fret if you don't have a capo click on the link and
We'll [B] get you one and the chords in this song are very very simple, okay?
It's basically the same thing over and over.
There's [Cm] a little bit of a [B] bridge
Where things change up for two lines, but that's it okay, so the song is [D] this C E
[F#m] minor a [Bm] minor
[G] F all right, and there's a little bit of a strumming [Bm] pattern to that okay, so instead of [D] just you know it's
[F#m] [Bm]
[G]
[F#] Okay, so what I'm doing there is I'm [A#] going C E minor a [C] minor F
[G#] And I'm doing [D] this I'm plucking the bass string, [A#] so I'd be plucking the
Let's see my ring finger is on the third fret a string, so [C#] I'm plugging that third fret [D] a string
All right
So I'm plucking down and down
Let's see here
Down down up down up so pluck down down up down up pluck down down up down up [B] now.
I'm plucking the
[F#] E string open [F#m] look down down up down up look down down up down up
Hey, [B] minor look down down [Bm] up down up up down down up down up [G] F
pluck down, down, up, down, up, pluck down, down, up, down, up.
[B] On the A minor, I'm plucking that A string open,
and [E] on the F, I'm plucking [Bm] the third fret A string [A#] again, OK?
[Cm] So, [D]
[F#m]
[Bm] [G]
OK?
That is the [E] song over and over and over again.
OK, you'll come to a bridge [N]
towards the end of the song,
and that's [F#] basically E minor, [F#m]
A [B] minor,
[G] F twice.
In this case, it's four times.
Then E [F#] minor again, [F#m]
[Bm] A minor, then [G] F, then [A] G.
[D] Back to the verse.
[F#m] [Bm]
[G]
[Bm] OK?
That's it.
[G#] So, please once again check out Zach's video.
