Great [G] Scott!
Oh, this [C] is heavy.
[G] In Back to the Future Part 3, Michael [Dm] J.
[G] Fox and Christopher Lloyd [C] take some special [F] friends with them back to the old west.
[Cm] [Eb]
Rock [F] band ZZ Top makes their first film appearance in this [Cm] conclusion to the time travel trilogy.
It's the only movie that let us wear our own [F] clothes.
[C] For the Hill Valley Festival, the filmmakers were looking for a different sort of [Cm] band.
We didn't want to just have a classic fiddle band, we wanted to put a little spin on it.
So [Ab] we were able to convince ZZ Top to come down and put on some period clothes and play along with the band.
[Eb] [D] For the band, working with director Zemeckis was a natural.
Any man that's called Bob [G] Z will work with gladly.
[C]
[G] They're great guys.
You know, their beards and everything, just like as advertised, they showed up in Sonora and [C] came out and did their stuff.
And [G] in between takes, they'd sit [Ab] and play the blues and the acoustic [Eb] guitars, like mini jam [C] sessions.
It was a lot of fun.
[G]
[C]
[D] [N] But the filmmakers didn't hire the band for their knowledge of traditional American music.
To create the [C] original signature song for Back to the Future Part 3,
Zemeckis knew that ZZ Top could deliver full tilt rock and roll.
