I started playing guitar when I learned that the noise that was coming off the radio was made by just that and I kind of wanted to be part of that.
So I [G#] found a guitar and away we go.
[F] Senors y señoritas, ladies and gentlemen, it's fiesta time.
[D#] It's my [N] exclusive pleasure to present to you that little old band from Texas, the Z2.
[A] [F#]
[A]
Old Smile, and that's it's a star.
Seven degrees, you know what I'm talking about.
Just let me know if you want to go to that home of all things.
They got a lot of nice girls there.
Have mercy!
I hear it's fine, you've got time.
Hail the tear, do you dare yourself?
One more time, I want to hear it for Jeff Beck, [Am] Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Jimmy Gump, John Lamb,
Grubb [A] Grammar King, Mighty Warners, B.B. King, [C]
[D#] [C]
[Cm] [C]
and all you guitar players out there, come on now, we thank you.
[C]
Thank you.

When I first started going to Texas, I'd hang out and the only thing that was on the jukeboxes in Texas was ZZ Top.
And then I'd put the money in, I'd hear it, and my world changed.
And then I got to meet Billy and realize that there's another very, very serious archivist type, you know, musicologist type guy.
I mean, these are scholars, you know.
All that stuff they do is great and everything, but it's built on a really strong foundation.
So it was a very simple decision.
Who's going to close this show?
I mean, it has to be them.
