Hello, this is C-Dub with PianoClubHouse.com and today
I'm going to show you a few tricks that you can do on a song Chasing After You in the key of D flat
[Db] [Ab] All right
[N] The tricks I'm going to show you, they've got three things you can do all involve the D flat major scale
So those notes in the scale are going to be in each trick and I'll show [A] you different ways you can place them in the song
so [Db] we have
[Gb] [Db]
[Eb] [Db] [Ab]
[Db] [Ebm]
[Bb] [Ab]
[Db] [Ab] [Gb]
[Db]
[Eb] [Ab] [Db]
[Ab] [Db]
[Bb] [Eb]
[Ab]
[Gb] [Cm] [Ab] All right
So like I said, they all involve [Bb] the D flat major scale
[Db]
So you have D flat, [Eb] E flat, [F] F
[Gb] G [Ab] flat, A [Bb] flat, [C] B flat
[Db]
C and
D flat.
So what I was doing on all of those
I
Was using the D flat major scale in both with both hands, but I was starting at different points.
So the first [Ab] one I had
[Db] [Gb] [Bb]
[Ab]
See I make sure that I start at a [B] point where I'm gonna [Ab] end on that bass note
[Bb] If [Ebm] I would have started here
[Bb] [Db]
It would have been off because the bass note at that [C] point is C.
Okay, so I make sure I
You know [Bb] time it right and start it in the right spot
[Cm]
So I'm starting [Db] on the one
In the D flat major scale with my left hand and the three
Of the D flat major scale with my right
[Cm] [Bbm]
So I'm just [Bb] going down the scale
[Eb] [Bb]
[C]
[Bb] [Eb]
Okay [Bb] together
[Eb] [Cm]
All right.
So like I said, it's the [Db] D flat major [Bb] scale
[Eb] [Bb] [Fm]
[Cm] [Db] Starting on the first and the third
All right now, so that's the first one.
Okay, so the second one I [Ab] had
[Gb]
[Cm] Okay, [Db] same thing [Eb] D flat E flat [Gb] F
G flat and back down [Eb] F
E [Db] flat D [C] flat
C [Db] so I start on the first on the one and then I got the [F] third here
Okay, [Gb] F [Ab] G flat [Bb] A flat
[Ab] B flat
[Gb] [F]
[Eb] [Gb] You [Cm]
[Gb] [Ab]
[Gb] [Eb]
[Db] can even do that as like a you know a hit for the whole band if you want to
[Gb] [Db] [Gb]
