This is Anthony Bryce with Piano Clubhouse,
and today I'm gonna show you how to play
This Is Why I Love You.
So Why I Love You by Major.
It's in the key of A flat.
Let me give you that scale.
That's A [Bb] flat, B [C] flat, [Db] C, [Eb] D flat,
[Fm] E flat, F, [Abm] G, A flat.
All right.
So I like to play the song,
break it down in pieces, play it, break it down.
[Eb] Let's get started.
Ready?
Here it goes.
[Fm]
[Db]
[Eb] [Ab]
[Fm] [Db]
[Eb] [Ab]
[Fm] [Db]
[Eb] [Ab]
[Fm] [Db]
[Eb]
[Bbm] [Gm]
[Ab] [Db] [Bbm]
[Gm]
[Eb] [Eb]
[Fm]
[Db]
[Ab] [Fm]
[Db] [Eb]
All right.
So let me just break down the parts that I just played.
So what I did was start [Ab] off with two notes,
well, three notes, but mostly two.
Let's just say two, an octave of one.
So A flat in the left hand, right hand is A flat, C.
Then I went [Fm] from A flat, A flat, C in the right hand
to F in the bass, left hand, right hand, F, A flat.
To the next [Db] one, D flat in the left hand,
right hand, F, A flat.
Next chord, [Eb] E flat in the left hand,
right hand, E flat, A flat.
And then I did E flat, B flat,
then A flat, B flat, [Cm] C.
So it's A flat, B flat, [Ab] C.
[Bb] So it's [Fm]
same notes.
[Db]
[Eb] [Ab]
[Fm] [Db]
[Eb]
And now you can do that too as well.
When you hit the E flat in the left hand,
right hand, E flat, A flat,
and you can switch [Eb] it to E flat to B flat.
You can have the G in there as well.
E flat, G, B flat.
So, all [Fm] right,
[Db] [Eb]
move on of the breakdown.
And then I did B flat, C, [Bbm]
D flat.
[Eb] B flat, C, [Ab] D flat in the right hand.
And once I hit D flat in the right hand,
I hit [Bbm] B flat in the left hand.
All right, and the chord I would form on the B flat
is F in the right hand, B flat, D flat.
[G]
Next chord is G in the bass, left hand,
right hand is [Eb] G, B flat.
Next chord, [Ab]
A flat in the bass,
right hand is A flat, C.
You can use the E flat as well.
Next chord is [Db] D flat in the bass,
right hand is D flat, F, A flat.
All right,
[G] [Ab] [Db]
then again, you do [Bbm] the same thing.
[Gm]
Right, G, remember the G, G, B flat in the right hand.
Then you [Eb] go to E flat in the left hand,
right hand is E flat, G, B flat.
Next chord, stay on the E flat in the bass,
[Eb]
D flat, F, [Bb] A flat, [Db]
E flat [Eb] in the bass.
Then go back to the first chord on the E flat.
[Db] So, you got it?
Instead of hitting that B flat the first time,
hit E flat, G, then the [Eb] four chord of D flat,
F, A flat, back to E flat, G, B flat.
While you're holding E flat down.
[Bbm] You got it?
[Gm] [Ab]
[Db] [Bbm]
[Gm] [Eb]
[Db] [Eb] And back to, here's [Db] the chorus breakdown [Ab] is,
you already went over this chord,
A flat in the bass, right hand, A flat, C, right?
Now you're gonna [G] go down G in the bass,
left hand, right hand is [Gm] G, B flat.
[Fm]
To F in the bass, right hand, F, A flat.
[Eb] To E flat in the bass, right hand, E flat, G.
[Db] Next chord, D flat in the bass, right hand, D flat, F.
Next chord, [Eb]
E flat in the bass,
right hand is E [Eb] flat, A flat.
[D] Resolve it to E flat, G.
[Eb] [Ab] All right, so this [Fm] is the chorus.
[Db]
[Eb] [Ab]
[Fm] [Db]
[Eb] [Ab]
[Fm] [Db]
[Eb] [Fm]
[Cm] [Db]
[Eb] All [E] right, now you saw what I just did.
I went to the next section.
It go, it's play [Ab] like this.
[Cm] [Db] [Cm] [Ab]
[Eb] [Ab]
[Eb] [Ab]
[G] [G]
[Cm] [Ab] [Eb]
