And when I see the eight, I [Bb] think of the eight righteous persons God saved when he destroyed this earth.
There [Fm] was Noah, [Bb] his wife, their sons, and their wives.
And when [F] I see the nine, I [Dm] think of the lepers [Bb] our Savior cleansed, and nine out of the ten.

When I see the ten, I think of the ten commandments God [Eb] handed down to Moses on a table of stone.
When I see the king, it reminds me there is but [Ebm] one King of [Bb] heaven, God Almighty.
When I see the queen, I think of the [F] blessed Virgin Mary who is queen of heaven.

There are 13 tricks, the number of weeks in a quarter.
So you see, sir, [F] my pack of cards serves [Dm] me as a [F] Bible, an almanac, [Bb] and a prayer book.
And friends, the story is true.
