[G] _ _ Ok guys, [Ab] here's a tutorial for the Beatles 4 No 1, another one I covered recently which
I've had a lot of _ requests for tutorials for.
This one [C] is a lovely one to play, _ _ you don't need a plectrum for this one, this one is
a pluck strum kind of a one.
[Gb] _ [Fm] It basically is just [C] like a pluck, down, down, down, pluck, down, down, down, [Em] pluck, down,
down, [Am] down, pluck, down, [C] down, pluck, down, down, down, [Eb] pluck, down, down, down, pluck,
more or less the [C] strum for that one.
So it starts on a C, [A] _ _
[Ab] I tend to always put my [G] G in the base of the C, not [Fm] that you actually
need it at the initial part of this verse, but [G] [F] at the end [C] you kind of do need to go between
those two, so I just get in the habit of fretting it anyway even though I may not necessarily
have to play it at that time.
_ So make your C, _ _ _ _ _ and you're going to pluck on the 5th string, on the 3rd fret there, _
down, down, down, and you're basically [B] just going to move [G] down to the 5th _ string on the
[E] 2nd fret, _ [C] _
your deep breaths, [Bm] _ [Em] your mind leaks, [Am] so that first finger is staying [B] there, [C] your
mind leaks, and just move it down _ one [Ab] fret, one string sorry, to make an A minor 7, [A] _ still
play the [Am] 5th, _ then _ I just bring those two fingers up [C] again to make that G over the C,
but this time [G] you're going to pluck the actual 6th string [F] instead of the 5th [G] string, _
[C] _ _ _ _ _ then
make an F.
[F] _ _ _ _ _ [Am] If you can't make an F like [Ab] that, you can do a full barre chord F [F] if you like,
_ _ _ _ [E] but with [G] my guitar I can just manage to put my [Gb] thumb over here and keep that same _ _ [F] formation there.
_ _ _ _ The next [Gb] chord is a Bb, so that's the hardest one to get to quickly after the F, you've
got to come around for your [Bb] Bb, _ _ so basically you've got [C] to fret that 5th string on the
1st fret there, [Bb] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ okay, and then come back for the C again.
[C] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ Then here you are going from the 5th _ to the _ _ 6th, hence the reason why I think it's important
to keep those two fretted at all times.
_ So just _ _ slowly_
_ _ _ _ [Em] _ _
_ _ _ [Am] _ _ And _
[C] _ _ _ _ [F] _ _ _ _
_ [Bb] _ _ _ _ _ [C] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
again, _ _ _ _ _ _ C, _ [Em] _ _ _ _ that one, whatever it's called, [C] _ _ [Am] _
A minor 7, _ _ [C] _ _ G over the C, _ [F] _ _ F, Bb, F, Bb, F,
A minor 7 I suppose.
[Am] _ _ _ _
[Bb] _ _ _ _ _ [Dm] _ _ [Bb]
You [F] can even _ [A] _ _ [Bb] play [A] the 5th _ open, [Bb] _ _ then come into the [G] Bb, _ _ [C] _
C, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Bb, _ _ _ 6th, _ _ _ _ _ _
the day [Bm] breaks, your [Am] mind leaks, _ [C] find that all our [F] words are kindness in [Bb] their own [G] little
[C] _ _ _ _ _
lines.
Bb is always the hard one to get. _
Okay, the chorus, and in [D] her eyes you [A] see nothing.
_ What you [Ab] need here is a D minor,
_ so make your D minor and you pluck the [D] 4th string, [Dm] _ _ _ _ _
down, down, down, [G] _ _ back to the _ _ A7,
pluck the [A] 5th string, _ _ _ _ down, down, down, _
[D] _ _ [Dm] _ _ _ [F] back to the D [D] minor, _ _ [Dm] _ _ _ then what you want to do is
what you can do here, _ no sign, two strums, [E] _ [Gb] I'll [D] leave behind the tears.
[C] So while you've
got your [D] D minor shape, _ _ _ _ so play the 4th, _ 5th, _ 4th again, 4th, 5th, 4th, then the 3rd finger
comes up [A] onto the 4th string on the 2nd [E] fret, _ _ _ and then use your 4th [F] finger to come up onto _
the 3rd fret of the 4th [Am] string, _ [E] _
_ release again to the _ 2nd fret of the 4th [D] string, _ _ _ open 4th
string, _ then [Fm] up onto the 5th string on the [C] 3rd fret, _
_ [D] _ _ then open 4th, so you get, _ _ [A] _ _ [F] _ [E] _ [D] _
[C] _ _ [D] _ _ you're
keeping that finger there the whole [Dm] time because then I'm coming back into my [D] D minor strum
again.
_ _ _ _ _ You [A] see nothing, _ [D] _ _ no [Am] sign of love behind the tears.
[Dm] _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Dm] _ _ So [D] either two strums, or, _ _ _ _ _ _ [E] _
_ [D] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Dm] _ _ _ _ and [G] _
back for a, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ so _ basically G here, _ _ but what you're going
to do is put your 1st finger here onto the 2nd string of the 1st [C] fret, _ _ [G] _ _ _ _ can't remember
what that chord is called, _ _ _ _ _ basically _ _ _ _ [Bm] playing it and [G] then releasing it, _ _ or even just [D] _ [C] _ _ [G] do _ _
a little release and play [C] at the same time, _
[G] _ _ _ _ _ [C] _ _ _
[G] _ _ like that, that does sound nice if you can
do that.
_ _ And [D] in her eyes you see [A] nothing, _ [D] _ [Gb] no sign of love behind [Dm] the tears, cried for
[A] _
_ [D] no one, a love that should [C] have [D] lasted _ _ [G] years. _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ And _ yeah, they're the only parts you need
for the song, the rest is again put up, made up through just that verse and chorus.
The
solo is the same _ chords [C] as the verse as well. _
_ [G] _ _ _ [Am] _ _ _ _
[C] _ _ _ [F] _ _ _ [Bb] _ _
_ [G] _ [C] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ Yeah, _ _ _ that's _ it, I don't need to show you
anymore, that's for no one, [Ab] it's actually _ [Em] not too difficult really when you look at
it that way, so then there's two parts, verse and chorus.
[G] Anyway, hope that's enough for
you. Bye.
