Hello everyone!
Long time no see, because I've been in Ecuador and I'm still here, but I'm gonna be here till February 16th
and after that I'll come back.
I hope you are having a beautiful month.
I just recorded this and then accidentally deleted it.
Let's go again!
Let's learn to play a song from the best Broadway musical of all time, which,
despite what I said in my cover of I'm Not a Loser, I actually have no shame in liking.
It's not a guilty pleasure at all.
I love SpongeBob the Musical.
It's no secret.
It's my favorite.
Please come and stan it in the comments with me because [A] it's the best.
And let's learn to play Bikini Bottom Day.
First, A chord.
You know, got second fret, first fret, [N] bunch of hairs stuck in my ukulele.
Oh, also, my ukulele might sound a bit weird because I've [G] got like a drop tuning string.
This would normally [A] be an octave higher, but the song's played exactly the same.
So you've got your A chord.
Strum it twice.
[D] Then get your pinky finger and put it on fourth fret.
[C#m] This one here.
You should get these two [A] notes after that.
And then play those two with your A chord.
So you should have, strum your [Cm] A chord twice and then add your pinky [A] on the fourth fret.
[F#] Strum it twice.
Then get [C] your fourth finger, put it here on the second fret.
And then, you know what I would [F#m] say, strum it twice.
And then move this finger down so instead of being [C] here, it's here.
[Bm]
[F#m] [A] And then strum it three times.
So we've
[F#m] [A] [E] got
And if you like, in the middle you [C] can add little chucks to add [A] the rhythm so you can be
[F#m] like
[A] [B] Suddenly doing no rhythm whatsoever, but you know what I mean.
If you listen to [A] it on the song, it's
[F#m] [A] like
Love that.
[G#m] Oh yeah, an alternates [F#m] between when you do this.
[A]
First [F#m] it's [A] three strums with it here.
And the second time it's two strums like this and then one open.
So it's just the A.
[G#] So, um, all together the intro is [A] like
[F#m] Favorite pet snail.
I do [A] know the lyrics, I just can't sing.
So [D]
[A]
[G] that's the intro bit, the fun bit on the ukulele.
The rest is mainly just chords, which I'll put in the description like two months after
I make this video, as always, when I get time.
Because it modulates through all of the keys for the different characters.
But basically for Who's the Lucky Sponge in the Mirror, Who's Living in His Dream?
You've got to play a G [A] and then [G] an A and then a G [A] and then an A [D] and then a D [E] and an E7.
So G, A, G, [A#] A, D, E7 and then we're [C#m] back [F#m] to
[A] And
[D] then D.
[Bm] And then after the D we have this funny boy, I don't know what it is.
4, 2, 2, open.
Like that.
[E]
[A]
[N] And that's pretty much it, unless I want to do like a 16 minute video going through all
of the different characters bits, which I probably will do once I'm back.
Another thing I have planned is a SpongeBob the Musical in 7 minutes video, which I have
all arranged and ready to film when I can do harmonies and things and record them,
so that's exciting.
You can look forward to that in February or March.
I hope that this helped you somewhat, and if not, then at least
I don't know.
You go and listen to SpongeBob and enjoy it because it's so pure, it makes me so happy.
Yeah, hope you're all well.
Let's talk about SpongeBob in the comments because I love it so much.
You know in Heroes My Middle Name where Patrick's like,
