_ or maybe in your own automobile,

_ Lord I thank [Gm] you for [F] _ the many blessings you've bestowed upon us. _
[Ebm] _ _ [Bb] Thank you for your goodness up until [F] this present time.
[Bb] _ _ _ For we realize it's not because we've been so good,
[Eb] _ _ but just because [Fm] you've been so merciful.
_ [Eb] _ And there's times when we should have on our lips [Bb] a prayer of thanksgiving.
_ Where we say thank you God for [Fm] letting me [C] see a brand new day
[D] _ [G] that [C] I've never witnessed before.

[Bb] Then there are going to come times in your lives when everything is going to be upset
and _
[Ab] turmoil [Bb] and distress is all around you.
But in seasons, _ _ _ in seasons of distress and grief,

_ _ [Bb] _ _ _ I don't know about anybody else, but when these times come in my life,
[F] my soul, _ _ [Bb] _ my soul has often found [Eb] relief.
_ Thank God. _ _

_ _ _ [Cm] _ _ _ [Gb] And when I talk to him in [G] the sweet hour [B] of prayer,
_ _ I [Bb] often escape, _ _ _ _ [G] I often [Bb] escape the tempter's snare. _ _ _ _
_ [Eb] For there are so many that desire to see me fall, _
[Bb] _ [Gb] but if I can just [Eb] manage to steal away for a moment and tell Jesus all,
_ _ _ [Bb] he lets me know by his returning.
_ _ He [Bm] gives me a communion with [D] him when [G] I humble myself [F] in the sweet hour.
_ _ Oh, such a wonderful hour.
