Ladies and gentlemen, brace yourselves as you are about to hear something a little bit weird.
Well, it is my very own new arrangement of a Russian gypsy tune called Dark.
It is a tune that I heard everywhere as I was growing up in Russia before I moved to the UK
and it still very much reminds me of those years.
Working on this arrangement made me smile and really laugh out loud sometimes an awful lot
as I was trying to capture this perhaps slightly authentically awkward maybe but very virtuosic gypsy flavour.
Perhaps my own composition skills are not to be judged on this joke of an arrangement
although now I'm starting to feel like I'm gonna have to come back next time with a symphony or something
in style of, I don't know, Rachmaninoff or Mahler?
Only kidding.
No way.
Not for a while at least.
So now this is all you get to hear.
