[OSS 7.2] The Ataris - The Graveyard of the Atlantic chords
Start Jamming...
I hate when my ears get blocked.
[N] Oh, shit.
[Eb]
Uh, this is a new song, [N] uh, from our new album, The Great Ready Romantic.
This is the title track of the album.
I haven't played it in a while, so I'm not gonna screw it up.
Enjoy.
[F]
Alright.
[E]
[Bb]
[C] [Gm]
[Bb]
The tesser picked below his fumbled hands and nervous smiles.
He [Gm] will medicate and stumble, find [Bb] the courage to talk aloud.
And the streetlights silhouette, neon halos shine so bright.
[Gm] While the radio cried, young hearts be free [Bb] tonight.
[Gm] So tell me, how'd we end up [F] here?
We all want to [Bb] feel something, even if it's only for a moment.
[Gm]
Tell me what happened to [F] our dreams we had when [Gm] we [Bb] were young.
We're never looking back now.
Tonight, these echoes of our lives are calling [Gm] out, don't surrender.
Don't surrender.
Tonight, from a shoebox forty -five, we're calling out, [Gm] don't surrender.
[Bb]
Surrender.
[Bb] Well, I am just a bit part in this movie of your life.
[Gm] While the night brigade roll on, out on [Bb] Highway 95.
We're carving out our lives [Eb] on these [Bb]
counterfeit guitars.
[Gm] While the ghosts of our past ring down the [Bb] boulevard.
[Gm] So tell me, how'd we end [F] up here?
We all want to [Bb] feel something, even if it's only for a moment.
[Gm] Tell me what happened to our [C] dreams we had [F] when we [Bb] were young.
We're never looking back.
Tonight, these echoes of our lives are calling out, [Gm] don't surrender.
[Bb] Don't surrender.
Tonight, from the basements and the dives, we're calling out, [Gm] don't surrender.
[Eb]
Surrender.
[Gm]
We [G] grew up chasing sunsets.
Now we both just [Bb] shut our eyes.
We're never looking back now.
[Gm]
We were young and oh so [F] bold.
And torn apart by [Eb] county [Bb] lines.
We're never looking back.
Tonight, these echoes of our lives are calling out, don't [Gm]
surrender.
[Eb] Surrender. Surrender.
Tonight, [Bb] from the basements and the dives, we're calling out, [Gm] don't surrender.
[Bb] Surrender.
[N]
That song will be on a new 7-inch that will be out on the label Paper and Plastic out of Gainesville, Florida.
And [G] that will be out in the end [E] of July, early August.
[Bm] And then we'll have the full length album hopefully out sometime in the [Bm] middle of next year.
[N] So we recorded about 12 songs, got the vocals done for half of them.
And then just kind of taking my sweet ass time and lagging a little bit too much.
Doing touring, touring a lot, just to pay the bills and keep [Ab] busy.
And I'm allotting some time probably early next year to finish and I'm going to [Bb] record about 10 more songs.
