Alright, this is one of my most valuable lessons.
I'm going to show you because this song is super easy and
All it is is basic chords over and over again.
Just four basic chords
You could probably if you've never even seen a guitar before play this song within your first two days of practicing
Okay, so really easy song all it is
First of all you got to have your capo on the second fret make sure your guitars and standard e-tuning
Okay, and so get a capo you can find one even on my side
I think they're only about five or ten bucks wherever you get them so second fret
Now we're going to go to our basic chords, okay, the chords are [A] G a [Bm]
minor [D] C
back [A] to G and
Then [N] it starts all over again the biggest part of this song [G] is
The in the only thing if you [Dm] want to play it exactly the way they do it in their recording
The only thing [G#] is the first time around they played a little bit differently on this this very first G
That's the only real difference in the song then at the end it gets a little bit different
But I'm gonna break it down [G] super easy for you, okay, [G#] so this is the intro
[A] That's
[F#m] [Bm]
[F#m] [D]
[F#m] [A]
[F#m] [A] the [N] intro if you watch that slowly you can tell that the G was strummed a little bit from the rest of the chords
But the a minor the C and that last G were all the same
So the first time the very first chord in that song that G.
They strum like [A] this
then
[F#m] [Bm]
the D minor
So the biggest difference is listen to that [E] listen to the way I strum that G.
[A] Okay?
[F#m]
Now here's the a minor watch how the strumming kind of [Bm] changes up
[F#m] [D]
[F#m]
[N] The biggest part I added on that a minor the C and the that final G is [Bm] the
[N] So I'll play it.
I'll play it for you one more time.
Okay, so you can hear the difference that first G in the song
and that very first
Intro of the song that [A] first time through
[F#m] [Bm]
So [F#m] [D]
[F#m] [A]
[N] I tried to emphasize that part so that's it's really not that even
That much of a big deal people probably aren't gonna really notice if you play them all the same way
So the strumming pattern throughout the entire rest of the song even on
the the G the first time around every time you go through the verse is
The same as the a minor the C and the G in the first part of the intro
so the whole strumming pattern for the whole song [A] is the
[F#m] [Bm]
[F#m] [D]
[F#m] [A]
That's it right [N] there.
Okay.
I'm gonna go over the strumming pattern and break it down in case you can't see it
I know a lot of people like to hear if it's down or up or down or up, but okay, [A] so it's
Down down down down down up down
Now down down down down down
Kind
[F#m] [Bm]
[F#m] [D]
[F#m] [A]
[N]
of confuse myself
I say that loud when I'm strumming it
But hopefully that was slow enough that you could kind of pick up on it and what I'm doing between each
Chord I change to is I'm taking all my fingers off the [F#m] strings
So I'm still strumming those strings, but I'm taking all my fingers off.
So it's just [B] that's what it is.
So [A] listen
[F#m] [Bm]
[F#m]
[D] [F#m]
[A]
[F#m] [A] [N]
That's the whole song all the way through all you got to do is just play that over and over and over and over
Again, I think I don't know how many times total it is
But play along with the song get a feel for it at the very end the tempo kind of changes up on the outro
So all the hard instruments the electric guitar the drum and everything goes back out and back the acoustic guitar
And it's something like it's kind of like this.
You'll hear it in the [A] songs
So [F#m] [Bm]
[F#m] [D]
[F#m] [A]
[F#m] [G#] just time with the song play along with it.
You'll get in no time.
This [N] is a super easy song
A great guitar lesson for any beginner.
