_ _ _ _ _ _ I'm going to try to show you a version of Summertime.
_ _ It's like a _ jazz arrangement here.
Soul [F] piece. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [D] _ _ _ _ _ [Am] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _
_ _ [F] _ _ [Dm] _ _ [Em] _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ [Am] _ _ [B] _ _
_ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _ _
[Am] _ _ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _
_ _ _ [Am] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _
[Em] _ _ _ [Am] _ _ [Dm] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Am] _ _ [Em] _ _
_ [E] _ _ _ Alright. _ _
Let me show you what I'm doing.
[F#] First part is second string, _ [F] fifth fret.
_ _ _ Third string, fifth fret.
_ Back to the second string.
It's like a little bar there. _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] Then I do an A minor 7. _ _
Second finger is on the sixth string, fifth fret. _
Third finger is on the _ _ _ _ _ fourth, third, and [C#] second _ string on the fifth [Am] fret.
_ [D#] I'm just moving up a [B] whole step to the seventh fret.
Fifth [Am]
fret, seventh.
[D] _ _ _ [N] And my finger is there already on the seventh fret, _ _ _ third string. _
_ [A#] _ _ _ _ Third string down to the [Cm] fifth fret.
_ [D#] Back to the [Dm] seventh.
_ [N] _ _ _ _ Second string, fifth fret.
_ _ [E] _ _ _ [F] _
Third string, fifth fret.
_ And [Dm] _ _
_ _ _ [F] _ _ _ [F] _
then I [A] go to the fourth string, _ _ _ seventh fret.
And I do a little bar on the fourth and fifth.
I go to the fourth string, seventh fret.
_ [E] _ _ _ Then the fifth string, seventh fret.
[Dm] _ _ _ [F] _ _
[A] _ _ _ [Dm] Back [Am] to the A minor [Bm] 7.
_ B minor 7.
[C#] Then I go to the second string, fifth fret. _ _ _
_ _ _ My first [F] finger _ to _ the third string, fifth fret.
_ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _ [E] _ [Dm]
To the _ [B] third string, [F] seventh fret. _
[Dm] _ _ _ Then I do _ an E minor 7.
_ So my index [Em] finger is barring.
I don't do the whole thing like that.
I'm just _ doing my first finger barring _ all _ _ the strings on the seventh fret.
Then my second finger is on the eighth fret, second string.
And I pluck the fifth, _ the third, _ _ _ the second, and the first.
_ _ _ _ And I go [A] up a whole step to F sharp minor [Em] 7.
_ [A] _ _
_ _ Then I go to the fourth string, seventh [A#] fret.
_ _ _ _ _ [E] _
_ [A] _ To the third string, _ _ fifth fret.
[F] _ _ [D#] [Em] Back to the [B] fourth string, seventh fret.
_ _ _ [Am] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [F] Then back to the third string, fifth string. _ _
_ _ I mean, _ [G] third [F] string, fifth fret.
_ [B] _ _ _
Down to the third [F] string, to the fourth fret.
_ _ [B] _
_ _ _ [Em] _ _ [A] _ _ _
[Am] _ _ [B] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ Then it goes to _ [Em] _ _
_ [A] B minor 11.
And that's my second finger is on the sixth string, _ _ _ _ seventh fret.
My third finger is on the _ _ _ _ _ fourth string, seventh fret.
My pinky is on the third string, seventh fret.
And my index [F] is on the second [B] string, fifth fret.
_ And all these chords, I'm plucking them when I name off [A] _
where my fingers [Am] are at.
_ [F#] I'm using my [A] thumb, index, middle, [Am] ring just to get those.
I'm not just _ [Bm] going_
_ [Am] _ _ [D] _ _
[C#] Okay, back to the [B] B minor 11. _ _
[Gm] _ _ _ The E7 sharp 9.
And that is my second finger is on the fifth string, [F] _
_ seventh fret.
My first finger is on the fourth string, sixth fret.
[G] My [Dm] third finger is on the third string, [C#] seventh fret.
And my pinky [Em] is on the second string, eighth fret.
_ _ [B] _ _ _ [E] _
_ _ _ Back to the little [F] beginning thing.
_ _ _ [Am] This is a_
[D] _ _ _ _ _ _ [F] _ [Am] _
_ _ _ [A] So you do that exact same thing like you did in the beginning.
And after that it goes to [Am] A minor 7.
_ _ [D] _ _ _
And D9.
[F] _ And that is my second finger is on the fifth string, fifth fret.
My first finger is on the fourth string, fourth fret.
_ And my third finger is on the third and _ second [A] string, fifth fret.
_ _ [Am] _ _
_ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _ [E] _
_ Then it does this little lick.
Sometimes I slide into it.
_ [D] _ _ _
It's the fifth string, _ _ _ seventh fret.
[Em] _ _ Fourth string, fifth fret.
_ _ _ _ Back to the fifth string, seventh. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [Am] _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ [E] _
_ Okay, [B] back to the fourth string.
[Em] Okay, we got it.
_ _ _ Then the fourth string, fifth [Gm] fret.
_ _ _ [Dm] Fourth string, seventh fret.
_ _ _ _ [A] _ Third [F] string, third fret.
_ _ [A] _ _ Back to the fourth string, [Em] seventh fret.
_ _ _ [Am] _ _
_ _ Then I go [F] up _ _ to the third string, eighth fret.
_ [A] _ To the seventh on [D] the third string.
_ _ [Em] _ _ _ [F] _
_ _ _ [A#] _ _ _ Then I do a hammer-on pull-off on the _ [C#] third string, _ _ fifth fret.
And I hammer-on and pull-off on the seventh on the third string. _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _
[Am] _ _ _ _ [F] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ Hammer-on pull-off _ _ [A] _ _ _ [Dm] to the fourth string, seventh fret. _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ Okay, [F] _ _
[A] _ I left off [Dm] on the fourth string, seventh fret.
_ _ _ Fourth [Gm] string, fifth fret. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [Dm] Fourth string, fifth fret.
Back to [A] the fourth string, seventh fret.
_ _ [F] _ _ [A] _ _ _
_ _ [F] Then it goes back to A minor [Am]
7.
_ [Em] _ To E7 sharp 9.
_ _ [F] Let me play it once real slow.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _
_ _ _ _ [Am] _ _ [D] _ _
_ _ _ _ [F] _ _ [Dm] _ _
_ [Em] _ Minor [A] 7, here. _
[Am] _ _ _ [B] _ _ B minor 11.
_ _ [E] _ E7 sharp [Am] 9. _
_ _ _ A minor 7, [D] B minor 7.
_ _ [Am] This is like the beginning.
_ _ Here we go up to [A] A minor 7 to D9.
Then a [Em] little run.
_ _ _ [Am] _ _ _ [D#] _ [F] _
_ _ _ _ _ [Am] A minor 7, _ [E] _ _ E7 _ _ sharp 9.
_ _ [Am] And these chords are like jazz ways of jazz fingering.
Instead of just doing a _ _ bar, minor 7 shape.
_ _ _ _ You can do it this way. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [G] _ _ [Am] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [F] _ [Em] _
_ _ _ _ [Am] _ _ _ _
_ _ Yeah, it's a neat little fingering. _
_ _ _ [C#] Alright, thank you.
And I just got all the shower heads from my hair is all wet.
_ [N] _
