Here's how we're gonna do it.
I'm gonna [D] show you that lick
It's based off of a G major chord.
If I take a G major chord, I'm gonna hit

Then [A] I'm gonna have my open finger my pointer finger off and hit the open A string _ _

first finger on that [B] second fret

[G] back to that.
So check it out and I have that finger there just because I'm going to go into the

But it's just comfortable for me to think of it as a G chord like a G embellishment
