All Too Well by Taylor Swift - Piano Tutorial (Red Tour Intro Version) chords
Start Jamming...
Hi everyone, so today I'm going to be doing an all too well by Taylor Swift piano
Tutorial some of you might be watching this video because you've seen my cover of this song which I will link below if you haven't
I got a lot of requests on my cover video to do tutorial and
A lot of people were asking me for sheet music for this song, which I don't have
Yes, I do play piano and guitar and I used to know how to read music a long time ago when I used to play
Clarinet, but I've kind of forgotten
So basically what I'm trying to say is is that everything I play I play by ear and I teach myself
So I'm gonna do my best to try and show you guys this tutorial
Which I learned by ear and I'm also going to include the beginning bit that Taylor Swift does for all too
well on the red tour
Which I didn't know at the time when I did my cover so this part of the songs not in my cover
But for any of you that follow Taylor Swift closely and have either seen or heard the all too well version on the red tour
I'll show you how she does the intro bit
Of course, I don't know if this is exactly what she does, but it sounds familiar.
So I'm gonna try my best here
To show you guys this
So I guess we'll just hop in so the first bit I'm just gonna play first and
Unfortunately part of my hand is gonna get cut off
[C] But all I'm doing is playing the same note with my pinky and my thumb
So that's a C in this case, but my pinky hands gonna get cut off.
I already know that [Bbm] so this is [C] middle C [N] here
So this is the bit that I'm going to show you guys how to do first from the red tour
So it goes [C] like this
[G]
[F]
[C] So for [N] some of you that might sound familiar
so all I do to be honest
I don't really know how to teach this other than just show what I'm doing because like I said, I really don't know
Like technical music and I'm sure my piano technique is terrible for those of you who are like properly trained
I'm sure you're wondering what the heck I'm even doing
But basically all I do I'll just do it more in slow motion here
So I start with this with [C] the C octave here, right left right left right
[G] So
[F]
[Dm]
[F]
all the left hand is doing is going [C] C
C C G
[G] So
[F]
[G] that's all that that hand is doing.
I'm really sorry guys.
I'm really bad at explaining this because since I just [C] learned by ear
I don't really know how to explain [N] what I'm doing.
And when I watch other people's tutorials
I just typically watch what their hands are doing.
So I'm really sorry if this isn't helpful.
So I'll do it one more time
Slower so it goes flat you start with the left so it goes
[C]
and
[G]
[C] then [F] down
And [Dm]
[F]
then getting into the song all it [Ab] is is just four chords
So all it is is just a C and [Eb] this is what I was doing in my cover
So if you've seen [Db] my cover then you'll know this is what all I was doing [C] is I just play
So if I'm playing a C chord, I just hit the two C's with my left hand
Like this so go C
[G] G a
[A] minor down [F] to
Sorry, so just [C] goes I walk through the door with you
[G]
It was cold a [A] minor
And that it felt like [F] home
how and [C] I
Listen, let's start.
Okay, so you got the [G] idea
So it literally is all the same chord.
So and then I just play the chords with my right hand
Sorry, I was trying to adjust my tripod here.
[C] So it just goes a C.
So one two three
I don't know how to do so like that.
So just goes I walk through the door with you
and then up to G
Which I'll try and move my camera
[G] It was cold a [Am] minor
It felt like home down to [F] F
how and I
[C] Start there [G] at your sister's house and [A] you still got it [F] Even now
[C] [G]
[Am] So literally is just repeating everything we just [F] did oh
[C] you're Physician
[F] So basically that's how it goes and then the only part where the [Eb] chords it's the same course
But sometimes the only time the order really changes is on the part
when it goes
That [C] and I know it's long gone in [G] that magic's not here no [Am] more
And it might be okay, but I'm [F] not
Fine, you know
And then it goes you stay with the [G] F
G [Am] a minor
Then down to C [C] cuz here we are again
So [Abm] that's sort of just the only part that really changes in terms [Bb] of chord [Am] order
[C]
[G] [Am]
[F] [C]
[G] [Am]
[F] [C] Oh Yeah
So [Db] that's basically how the whole song goes
[C] So I hope that made sense.
So it literally is just C
[G] G G [Am] minor
so [F]
[C] [N] that's that really is it and I'm sorry, I hope this has been helpful and
That's really all I can say so I'll just sort of play the
Intro bit one more time for anybody that's sort of [C] interested so that
[G]
[F] [Dm]
[F]
[C] Door
[G] Yeah, it's cold [Am]
a minor
[F] Maybe [C] [G]
[Am]
[F] [C]
[G] [Am]
[F]
[G]
we [C] got lost in translation
[N]
So that pretty much wraps up everything I hope that this has been somewhat helpful
Like I said, this is sort of the first tutorial I've done
so I hope that it was sort of helpful for those of you that kind of learn by just
Kind of watching and by ear because I don't really know
Technical terms or anything just besides the chords and also if you want to play this on guitar
It works out to be the exact same.
So just no capo and then just see
C G a minor and F are the chords for guitar as well.
So it works the same for that
So thank you so much for watching and I will see you in my next
