[N] Hello, my name is Katharina Lichtenberg.
I'm from Germany and I want to introduce you to my mandolin playing, how I play the classical mandolin.
And now we start with the arpeggio technique which goes through three strings, so like
G, D and A.
[E] So first you pick on the D string and you start [G] with G, D, [D] A and an upstroke on the
A [G] string, which is the last note is only [B] one string.
So I [G] continue again.
Down, [D] down, down, up.
[G] Down, [D] down, down, up. Yeah.
[N] And in tremolo you have tremolo with a single string.
[F]
[D]
[B] It's [N]
a very Italian example.
But also,
[C#m] [D]
[G] you can also play with two strings.
[Dm] [B] [A]
[E] Tremolo.
At [Bm] [Em] [Bm]
[C#m] [Bm] [E]
the end of the phrase, I'm often using the [G] down, [F]
up.
Yeah, it's kind of making the music [N]
soft at the end of a phrase.
And pay attention now a little bit on what I'm doing.
[G] [Gm]
[C] [G]
[F#] [G] [N]
