You know, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I love, you know, they always called us a pop group.

Anyway, there were four of us in that band and it just seems to be Georgie and I, Yoko, Sean and you. _ _ _ _ _

_ _ _ Anyway, _ _ _ _ we all know why John can't be here and I'm sure he would be.
And it's hard really to stand here supposedly representing the Beatles.

_ _ _ But we all loved him so much and we all loved Paul very much. _

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [Bb] _
_ _ _ _ I _ _ suppose basically the reason we became the band was _ _ _ all the other people who were in the Hall of Fame already,
_ including Lead Belly, because actually they stole his tunes, turned it into skiffle,
and we all became skifflers when we were 13.
_ _ _ And all of them in there, _ and all the people inducted tonight too, they all had great influence on us.
And it was for that reason alone we just wanted to get guitars, get in a band,
because we didn't really have proper jobs at the time.
_ _ _ _ Anyway, _ it sort of turned out fine and _ _ _ it got a bit bigger than any of us expected.
_ _ _ And it's certainly wonderful to be here and certainly a thrill. _ _ _
