Blues Intro/Turnaround in G chords
Start Jamming...
Hey Blues fans, we got a nice little Blues intro slash turnaround in the key of G.
So let me play it through and I'll come back and we'll break it down.
[D]
[Eb] [C] [Gm] [G]
[F] [Em] [Eb] [Gm]
[Eb] [D]
Okay, so what we're doing is we're starting basically on a D chord.
We're going [N] to bar with our first finger.
We're going to bar across the
second, third, and fourth, the B, G, and D strings with our first finger.
And we're going to slide up from four to five, excuse me, from [Fm] six to [D] seven.
[F] And we're playing the B string.
[D] And then we're going to play the G and D strings.
[F] [D]
And then we're going to reach out with our little finger and bar across the E and B
strings on the 10th fret.
[Dm]
[D]
[Bb] Then we're going to slide up to the 11th fret on the G
[D] and play the 10th fret on the [Dm] B.
[D]
[E] And basically we're [C] going to do the same thing but two frets
down.
So we're playing from a C chord [Eb] and we're going to slide up from the fourth to the fifth,
again, barring across the B, D, and G strings.
So we're going to play the B, slide up from four
to five.
[C]
And then G and D.
Reach out with a little finger, bar the eighth fret on the E and B.
And play the E and the B string.
[Eb] [C]
And then we're going to slide up to the ninth fret on the [Eb] G
[E] and then play [G] eighth fret on B.
[Eb] [C]
[G]
And then we're [D] going to go right to the seventh fret on the G.
[C]
The fifth fret on the G.
[Gb] Back to seven on G.
[Bm] Drop down to the third fret on G.
[G] And then the fifth fret on the D string.
So [Eb] slowly.
[C]
[Cm] [E]
[C] [Gm] [G]
And then our last little turnaround move
is we're playing the third fret on the D and we're playing the third fret on the high E.
[F]
So we're playing the D string and then in the [G] high E.
[F] Back to the D.
[E] Drop down to the second fret on the D string.
Again, you're going to keep your finger here on
the high E string [G] on the G note.
[E] Back to the D string.
And drop down to the first string
on [Eb] the D.
Play the high E.
Back down.
[D]
[Gm] So [F] slowly.
And [Em] [Eb]
then you're going to [D] play it open.
D string open.
[Ab]
And [Eb] then [D]
[Db] so basically we're playing a D sharp nine or D sharp seventh
and we're on the sixth [Ab] fret on the A.
Fifth fret on the [G] D.
[Db]
And the sixth fret on the G.
[Eb]
And then you're just going to slide that down.
[D]
Okay.
[Eb]
[D]
[F] And that's it.
So slowly through all the
[D]
[Eb] [C] [Gm]
[G] [F]
[Em] [Eb] [Gm]
[Eb] [D]
[G] [Gm] [C]
[Gm] [G]
it's okay.
That's it.
Hope you enjoyed it.
