[G#m] [F#] Hey,
[C#] nice job [D#] boys.
Pretty.
So we had a really funny experience the night before last we played in Los Angeles,
which is like always the height of my nerves, because first of all it's Los Angeles
and everybody from the record label is there and it's just terrifying.
But also it's like a jury of your peers, like everyone there plays music and sort of,
you know, they know if you're fun and it's in some point.
So [B] you just have like high nerves when you're playing there.
And we find out at the last minute that Stephen Stills is on the guest list.
He's coming in.
[F#] We [D#] love Crosby, Stills and Nash.
And a while ago Stephen, he met us backstage at a show for a few [E] minutes
and he mentioned on TV somewhere that he liked our band,
and so we did this little tribute to him where we learned one of his songs.
So of course we decided to throw this one on the set list for the last minute,
you know, Stephen Stills is going to be here.
So I announced from the very last song that we love Stephen Stills,
we love Crosby, Stills and Nash, and we're going to do [N] one of their songs.
And he gets up out of his seat in a seated theater and walks to the middle of the aisle,
and we're about halfway through the first verse at this point,
and then just stands there like this on his tippy toes just going, pretty good.
So now that that's happened, we can do this song in any scenario and not panic.
We're going to play you guys a CSN [F#] song now.
And I want to thank you one more time.
What a great crowd you guys [N] have been.
This is really, if you can imagine the difference between playing at this radio station
than other radio stations, this is beautiful.
We have gigs that aren't this great, so this is really cool.
Thank you.

[G#m]
Helplessly [F#] hoping [B] her harlequin hovers [F#] nearby
Awaiting [C#] a word,
[G#] [G#m] gasping at [B] glimpses of gentle true spirit
[F#] He runs, wishing he could [C#] fly
Only [G#] to [G#m] trip [B] at the sound of [F#] goodbye
[C#]
Wordlessly [G#] [G#m] watching [B] he waits by the window
[F#] And wanders at the empty place [C#] inside
[G#] [G#m] Heartlessly helping [B] himself to her bad dreams
[F#] He worries to hear a [C#] goodbye, or
[G#m] even [B] [F#] hello
[D#m] They [F#] are one [B] person, they [F#] are two alone
They are three [B]
together, they [F#] are [E] four
[B] each other
Stand

[G#m] by the stairway, [B] you'll see something certain to [F#] tell you
Infusion has its [C#] cost,
[G#] [G#m] love isn't lying
[B] It's loose in lady [F#] who lingers
Saying she [C#] is lost, and
[G#m] choking
[B] On [F#] hello, [B] they [F#] are one person, they are two alone
They are three together, they are four [E]
