We [E] have a lot of things of Rick acting.
Unfortunately, I couldn't fit all those into an hour show and I tried to focus more on
Rick and his music because _ [N] in truth that's where _ Rick's [E] interest lay.
And I've also [A] felt that was Rick's major contribution was the [E] whole style and [Em] form
_ because of Rick and because of the television show and doing the song on the show [G] made it acceptable in the American [E] home. _ _
I think it made my father [N] younger in a different sense when he had the Adventures of Ozzy and Harriet and he was directing and producing and he had a lot of kids around him.
When everyone else of _ 30 and above was saying this is evil music, he was enjoying it.
And he felt that it had a basic rhythm to it _ that was exciting and he enjoyed it himself.
And what he said I think it was on the Dinosaur Show that he said_
_ We've often said that I think Elvis certainly was responsible for starting rock and roll and I think that Ricky was probably responsible for making it acceptable in people's home.
Yeah, nobody took exception.

We got, strangely enough, we got quite a few at the beginning, we got quite a few letters from people who said they never thought that a nice American family like ours would show anything as [E] low down as rock and roll.
I really loved to play rock and roll [Eb] and I love singing [N] and I love entertaining _ and the communication that's involved [F] with people.
And that whole thing kind of _ _ _ rejuvenates me.
_ I've never [Gm] known what [F] it is to be a dad, like a grown up.
I don't see myself growing up.
It really doesn't happen in what I'm doing.
