Hi, it's day 343 on Patty Kustrak's 365 Days of Fiddle Tunes, and I've got Alex here on the piano.
And today, December 9th, is the anniversary of my mom passing away and Alex's grandma.
And I remember we always used to listen to Don Messer, and we had the eight tracks going all the time.
And there was a tune on there called the Black Velvet Waltz that I don't know why.
Well, I was four when I started playing, but I used to call it my Bok Bok song.
And every time it came on, I said, hey, that's my Bok Bok song.
I guess because of the one, two, three, and I go, Bok Bok, whatever.
So anyway, there was one night when my mom was in the bathtub and I was listening to the Bok Bok song,
and I ran in there, the bathroom with my fiddle, and I think I was about five.
And I said, Mommy, I know the Bok Bok song.
And I played her the Black Velvet Waltz while she was in the bathtub.
And yeah, she cried, and she cried over everything.
[C] So anyway, here's the Bok Bok song.
