No, we've been we've been out here now [Bb] for let's see
We've done five German [G] shows a Belgian show a couple so we've been out here for about three weeks now
All right, this would be the [Ab] last show and then we [G] go back home and then we come back again
We have a show in Helsinki in about a week's time
And then three weeks in South America after that [Ab] and we come back again and do another show in one in Oslo and [Gb] a
couple in Germany and a few more places
It's a very Scandinavians big fan of you guys and [Ab] and and Germany, of course.
Yeah.
Yeah, Scandinavia Germany
[Fm] I would say or you know, certainly [Gb] among the top ones
I mean Europe in general is so much better than it is in [G] America
Of course America has become this real trendy [Bb] place where _ [G] if you have won the American Idol show or American karaoke as I call it
Then you know, you [D] can be a big star, but you know, that's without
[A] _
Learning your trade [Gm] without paying any kind of dues for what you've done
But that's what America has [F] become has become a place of trends
So [Ab] it's a lot more difficult [Gb] to play for a vast amount of people who [B] you know
Just don't get a chance to hear their music anymore
The only time you could do well is if you do a festival with you know
If it's [G] Iron Maiden in ourselves or Scorpions and Austin purple or whatever it may be
You can kind of [Ab] do well that way but other than that [G] very tough in America, but [A] Germany, Scandinavia, Spain
Italy still [Am] really really yeah, I really [E] love the music and they [Eb] stand behind it all [Bb] the time
So the Americans are totally different than [Gb] 20 years ago.
[E] Oh, yes.
It's very much different
Yeah, you're on [Ab] making money and being on television and [F] idols things and stuff and how [Ab] weird is that?
[G] Well, it's weird.
Everybody watches [A] it.
[Db] Yeah.
Well, not me.
[Ab] Not everybody.
I don't watch it
I wouldn't watch it on my worst day
But you know, it's things like now they have like a guest appearance [Gb] by someone so Rod Stewart [Db] comes on suddenly
His album goes to number one.
[Ab] Excuse me, [Db] or
Barry Manilow was on the [Bb] program and his album goes back to number [Ab] one
Well, that shows you the mentality of the people who are [G] watching
They're obviously all [Bb] you know [A] younger than 13 years old or if they are older than 13
Their brain is only [Gb] 10 years old [F] because I just find it ludicrous.
I really find that [Am] without hard work
You really don't get anything that really lasts for a long [E] period of time and none [Ab] of those people [G] ever gonna last for a long
Period of time and there's so [Db] much good music out there that gets forgotten about because it doesn't sell your product
[D] And that's what [G] really the States is all about if you can't sell enough [Ab] pimple cream [Gm] with a heavy metal band
Yeah, then you don't get any heavy metal music
[A] But if you can sell it [Gb] with with rap or with [F] do up or with you know, Madonna music
Then you know, they'll pay attention to you but [Db] not here here people are [Ab] so loyal
they always have been you know hard rock metal is a [G] way of life here and
_ [A] It's always been looked [Ab] upon.
[G] I've noticed as well in in America
[Eb] _ If you are that [G] kind of an artist a rock heavy rock [Ab] artist
Then you're always kind of like [Gm] can look down [Ab] their nose that [A] you're not real.
[Ab] Are you?
_ _ But if you're some, you know, wishy-washy [Db] horrible piece of crap then oh love that
[Ab] Well, that's just you know what America happens [Gm] to be in that's [G] a shame
[Ab] Hey, it's a new album out now live album.

I must say and [Gb] also I have one of [G] the best songs ever and I'll of [Ab] course for us then

Themselves.
So [B] in order to do all the [G] material that we have to do we have done a medley here and there [Ab] but no not tonight

Black Sabbath [Ab] you've been in that band to of course _
What could you remember from that time?
Wasn't it weird to come in that band?
[A] Oh, no, not for me.
It wasn't [G] no
No, [A] it was it was great.
[Ab] I enjoyed it was probably my [Gm] favorite time really?
Yeah
Well, I like [A] them so much as people I [Ab] mean I really did I liked them because they were
Working-class people like me like [Gb] my family, you know, we weren't wealthy.
No were they and
_ We so we felt the same about it and we really loved the music and with [Ab] Tony.
I really found a simpatico
[Abm] Person to write with [Gm] I've been very very lucky to have you know to be able to [Gb] write with Richie Blackmore and with Tony
I mean great [A] combinations are great [G] combinations and do [Ab]
black more and do I only were a great combination?
So it's fun for me to do that and I'm you know
I like the guys and rest of the guys in a band a lot too and then
_ Minneapolis he [G] came with us as well and he carried on of course playing with [Gb] me and deal for a long time
So it [Bb] was a great time of my life and then we [Ab] did it we did it twice
Okay, and it wasn't as much fun the second time.
No, no, why not?
_ Well, because as I said before leopards don't change their spots, you know, and so nothing really ever changed
You know my attitude about what about what life [Gb] is about is different than their attitude about [A] life
Mine is once you're in a band.
I thought you're supposed to be in that band [Bb] forever
Well, _ [D] _
that's why I say twice [E] leopards don't change the spot
It's always a reason for but we are doing [Ab] a couple [Gb] songs [F] for a new album, which is called
[E] Black Sabbath the do years Wow, and [G] we've already Tony and I've already written one and we'll [F] be writing one more
[G] Really?
So it'll be giving you value for money and it'll be remastered and all that kind of thing
So what's not that I don't like them, you know, [B] I love Tony
I think Tony just such a special player and he's a really really [F] good person.
I like Tony a lot.
Yeah, when is it going out?
[Ab] _ It's [Bb] supposed to be was supposed to be [F] released in September or October
But I doubt very much that that's going to happen with all the work.
I've got to do
Yeah, I [Ab] don't have time for that, you know, and when I do have time we'll do it
But I think it'll be should be at the [G] end of the year.
I would think end [Gb] of end of 2006

[Dbm] We've got a film coming up [Ab] a new album and tell me why you need of [F] course

Why we did this?
This [G] was a DVD
[Bb] This happened to be [Ab] released on the side
It's the DVD is the only [G] reason why we did this I didn't know there was going to be this
I thought you were gonna, you know have it televised and [Ab] you know, and [E] so that makes it one special product
[Ab] Because you can see the people going through the motions of doing what they're doing.
Although this is [Gb] a great sounding album
[Abm] It wasn't meant to be just an album.
That's [A] more down a [F] record company, you know, hey, [Ab] we can make more money doing that
So [Abm] let's do it wasn't my idea to do it, but [A] I'm proud [G] of what the product is
But I think it's a DVD that's important.
So [Gb] look for the DVD because it's really [Ab] great.
[G] What's gonna expect from tonight?
[D] Well, [C] we only have an hour [Bb] to do so you're gonna get an awful [G] lot of good songs and one hours worth of time
you know [Ab] from heaven and hell to a holy diver to stand up [Gb] and shout to
_ To [Ab] children the sea, you know to just lots of lots of great music everything, you know your whole career
Oh, I wish we could do that.
You know, _ [D] I think that would take [Ab] maybe an hour and a half
Yeah, I think I would take about two and a half days to [Eb] do all that
But we do [Db] we do what we can it's a shame because [Abm] we normally play for about two hours
[Gb] And so we only have an hour [F] to you know
[Gb] Just kind of compress it into but the [Ab] songs will be great and they'll [G] be all recognizable and everyone will like them
And you know just waiting to do a new and [E] the new [F] album is more fun [D] for me, [Ab] right?
