Hey, how you doing?
I'm gonna do a lesson here on how to play the Eddie Vedder song rise a lot of people
I saw on the internet actually we're had the chords wrong like a whole lot of people horn in tune
So now that figured it out.
I figured I let everyone in on it
so anyway
Best way to do it learn the song get all the fingerings down
Know how to know the different chord progressions the verse the chorus the interludes and everything [Ab] get it all down
When you get when you know it
Get your guitar see me mandolin in tune [F] a little play along with the song
That's the the only way you're really gonna get that song down properly
[N] Anyway, so let's do it
Okay
Song start the song [G] is basically a
G [D] a C and a D [Dm] in different iterations, okay?
Starts off all right [Em] a lot of people think [G] it's just
He actually arpeggiates that so
Surgery gee now.
I use my index and a ring finger because first for the widening
Into the [C] sea
[G]
Back into this [C]
all right now you're into the course which [D] goes to the D
[G]
[C] [D]
[G]
[C]
To
The C.
[Am] [Em] Okay, then you're in your interlude [G] which goes into the G
[D] [Dm]
[Em] [G] [C] [G]
[Em] Whole step [G] between half step [Ab] past the beer actually back into the [D] C and then
[G] Back in the G
[D] [Dm]
[G] [C] [D]
That descending C thing he plays twice the second time [D] around then you're back into the song again
[G]
[C] [G]
[C]
[D]
[G] [C] [D] [C]
[G] Now when he does the chorus see when he gets [C] around to the C.
He's not doing that descending thing
It's just [G]
[C] so it is just looking your index finger on [D] the [G]
[C]
[Dm] second time when he does the interlude
He [G] doesn't do the the G to the C to the D.
[D] It's
[G] [C]

[A] [G]
[A] [D]
[C]
[G] [G]
[B] [N] Okay, let's take this on and saw the breakdown now who knows maybe I'm even screwing some of it up a little bit
You need to if you're playing along if you're tuned properly and you're playing along with the song and what I just showed you doesn't
Sound right, then it's two things either
What I'm showing you is wrong
Which for the most part isn't true
[Ab] Or you're out of tune
but
Yeah, the songs about 99% correct
I sat there and I've listened to it a zillion times
Checking it out and played along with it and the true test of how well you're playing a song is playing along with the actual recording
Is that will let you know if you're right or wrong?
Okay?
Hopefully I helped some people out out there if you liked it cool if there was something if you have other questions
I guess you can contact me through YouTube or whatever is
Anyway, good luck with it and enjoy.
It's great
