[D] [G] Hello, I'm Lawrence Juber [C] and we're going to be talking about [B] DADGAD tuning.
[C] To begin with, I'm going to take my guitar [A] which is now in standard [Em] tuning and I'm going
to retune [E] to DADGAD, D [D]-A-D-G-A-D.
I'm going to be harmonic, [Em] matching my top string which goes down from an E down to [D] a
D.
Here [Em] I am in DADGAD tuning, D [D]-A-D [E]-G-A-D.
[D] [G]
[Dm] [D]
[G] [D]
That's the beginning of a tune of mine called Bob's Your Uncle.
[A] We've been over this.
Now [D] back to the melody.
[G] [D]
[G] [D] Now [C] we have the coda.
[Bm]
[Em] [Abm] I'd like to take a little time just to [D] explore some very basic [G] relationships between [A] chords
[D] and melodies in DADGAD tuning.
Looking at the key of D, for example.
We have a basic D tonality here.
If I add the third, [B]
so then we have a great deal of information on DADGAD, some of it
general, some of it specific to my compositions.
