[Bb] [Eb]
A little bit of a [Bb] story behind shoulders is I got very, very sick [Gm] a couple of years ago
and during [Ab] that time when I was probably at my lowest I got down to about [Bb] 125 pounds [Fm] and
I didn't [F] really have a whole lot of answers.
In a way I'm thankful [Bb] for that sickness because [Eb] of that question I got to ask.
This music video is kind of a cool thing where we've been able to [Bb] expand a little bit on
that question of where does our help come from [Ab] when our grandfathers die or what is
it to see [Bb] a newborn baby [Fm] and you look at the trials and [Bb] tribulations that you know will
come with raising a [Eb] child even though you have that intense and amazing excitement.
Where does our help come from when we've been in [Bb] a car wreck and we don't know how we got
[Gm] out, what's going on.
[Cm] I play two characters in this piece.
[Abm] One is myself [Bb] singing shoulders along with [B] Luke in a cathedral.
The other [Eb] is this kind of down and out fellow who [Bb] has lost someone that he loves and
[Gm] is
just driving but [G] not really paying attention and gets hit.
[Abm] The hero of the film is kind [Bb] of the angel figure interacts with him and kind of freeze
frames this moment, [Eb] pulls him to safety and kind of saves his [Bb] life.
[Ab] [Fm]
[Cm] This [Gm]
[Eb] is where [Ab] the culmination of [Fm] shoulders, the music video unfolds.
This [Cm] is if you will the [Bb] purgatory cathedral [Ebm] [Eb] where if you step in here which the three
characters do, the little girl, [Cm] the man in the car accident and the man with the [Gm] baby.
They find themselves [Bb] here kind of celebrating [Ab] [F]
[Cm] or being assured that their [Bb] loss is, [Eb] this
life is not the end.
Beyond this life there is an ultimate.
No matter if you [E] lose someone [Bb] that you will find [Cm] it on this side or the next [Eb] and in that
[Bb] [Ab] sense we can [Fm] place all of our cares, all of our worries on his shoulders.
[Cm] [Bb] [Ebm]
