And Rock and I were [Eb] sitting in the little dining booth up in front of the bus.

There _ was a little Toyota pickup truck _ _ towing a flatbed trailer about 42 feet long with a swimming pool on it.
It was 8 feet deep, _ 20 feet wide, and 38 feet long.
The pool.
Now if I was going to haul a swimming pool from Florida to Michigan, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I believe [Dm] I would [Eb] turn it up on its side.

And it would only be 8 feet wide.
But this fella, [B] who wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, and I _ [Ebm] found out later he was related [C] to Rock, _

_ put this swimming pool on the flatbed [Ab] trailer just like it was going to sit [Eb] in the ground. _ _
And I was sitting there in the dining booth looking out the window, and honest to goodness, I saw this swimming pool going by the bus. _ _
And I thought, [Am] well, ain't that odd.

_ No sooner had [Ab] I said it than [B] Chad, who was driving the bus, said, uh-oh.
[N] I said, what happened?
He said, we've been hit.
_ I said, we need to stop.
He said, well, the guy's not stopping.
I said, well, chase him.

_ _ _ _ _ So we chased this swimming pool.
He was doing 75 miles an hour. _
I called 911.
I [Db] _ couldn't see the license plate because he was so far ahead of us, but I said, I've got an accident.
[Ab] We've had a hit and run accident.
And [E] the lady on the other end said, did you get a license plate number?
I said, no, but we're at mile marker [Eb] 218, and I think you won't have any trouble driving it.
She said, what color is it?
I said, it's blue.
It's a swimming pool.

She said, excuse me? _ _
I said, ma'am, we have been hit by a swimming pool.
_ I said, and we are in pursuit of you. _ _ _ _ _
She said, where are you in?
I said, a 45-foot bus.

I _ _ heard [Eb] her get on the radio.
She _ [D] said, [Eb] car. _ _
She said, any cars [Gb] in the vicinity of Interstate [B] 75 North at mile marker [N] 218,
there is a 75 mile an hour swimming pool northbound _ being _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
chased by a bus. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ We got up [C] to 82, caught up, and we [D] forced the guy off the [Db] road.
That's the truth.
And so we jumped _ [Eb] out of the bus, and I ran back there, and I said, hey, buddy,
[A] do you not know [Eb] you hit us?
And he said, well, can I?
And when he hit us, we got this mirror that sticks [N] out.
And that mirror was all the way around in front of the bus.
_ _ _ [E] And so [Db] Rodney had already called the bus company to see what it cost.
[C] And so he was on the [D] phone with them, and I was talking to the [E] guy.
I said, can I give you [N] $100 and just check? _ _ _
_ _ I said, no, just wait just a minute.
Well, Rodney [G] called the bus company and said, it's an [F] $1,800 mirror.
[Dm] _ So I called [Eb] my insurance agent in [B] Morristown, Tennessee.
She answered the phone.
[Eb] I said, hey, how you doing?
[Gm] She said, well, hey, girl, you don't ever call down here.
I said, [N] I know, but I said, we've had a little accident.
She said, well, what happened?
I said, we've been hit by a semi-truck. _ _ _ _

_ She said, you want to run that by me again? _
_ _ So right now, that's how our [Eb] year has gone.
So [E] I'm telling you the truth.
I just, [Eb] I would rather be here tonight than sitting on the side of the interstate with a [N] swimming pool.
