You know, it's, [Db] it's, I don't know what,
the way it feels on tour is like there's always certain smells
and there's always certain things that you see every day,
you know, whether it's body odor
to the smell of the trucks outside
to seeing the crew and the guys every day.
It's kind of like [Ab] a, it's a traveling circus in a lot of ways
and you see the same characters every single day.
[Db]
[Bb] Wait!
They don't love you like I love you.
Wait!
They don't love you like [F] I love you.
Wait!
Wait!
[Fm] We got a countdown about 30 minutes before we go on.
[Db] [Dm]
[Ebm] [Bb]
[Em] Usually I [Gb] have a little practice [Eb] amp and one [E] guitar
and one of us will pick it up and we kind of sing through,
we all sing some vocals [F] and get our vocals in line

[Ab]
[Dm] [Bm] Here are [Gb] the [Bb] rules.
[C]
Hey!
[Gb] [Abm] [Cm]
[Gb] [Ab] Here are the rules.
To live, [Db] but not [Abm] to play
To [Gb] [Abm]
die in tragedy
[Ab] You run and run away
[Abm] To find what you believe
[Ab]
[Eb] There's that [Ab] struggle to stay healthy,
there's a struggle to party, to not party.
[G] Oh!
[D] Right here.
Everything that you do during the day
leads up to what your evening is going to be like,
or not be like, because it could be completely unpredictable.
You could be having the worst day ever.
Everything's gone, your girlfriend broke up with you,
your dog got hit by a car, your life is in complete turmoil,
and then that night you have this great show
and then you kind of, there's that feeling of fuck everybody,
who cares, I don't give a shit, fuck the dog, dog's dead.
But all these people are freaking [Cm] out.
[C]
And then you walk offstage, and then all of a sudden
you're worried about what's going on at home
and you're back to your life
and trying to communicate with people at home.
Sometimes people use touring as a cure-all for their problems.
It's a great place [Bb] to run away from all your problems.
[Ab]
Which [Eb] one's the fillies?
It's a different [N] reality altogether,
but as soon as that reality's over with,
or that fantasy life is over with,
all of a sudden you're at home again, there it is.
Home is right there, and you're forced to deal with things.
And then you have a terrible show, and everything sucks.
That day sucks.
You throw your guitar at somebody, or your bass at somebody,
or your drumstick at somebody with bad intent.
Then there's those times where that is your family,
that is who you are, you know, that is your home.
[Bb]

_ [Ebm] _
_ _ [F] _ [Ab] _ _ [Eb] _ _ [C] _
[F] _ _ _ [Ab] _ _ [Db] _ _ [Eb] _
_ Ready. _ _ _ _ _
[Fm] _ _ _ _ [E] The [Bbm] referee's of [Eb] the United Kingdom now has the [F] floor.
_ _ _ [N] See how the _ _ president's asked him.
[E] Bombs [Ebm] away his _ [F] _
_ _ [E] honesty.
All the lies they [Eb] write throws [G] at us.
[Ab] A [Ebm] criticise, young [F] man.
_ Bang, [Ab] _ [Dbm] bang, cause a [Ebm] broken glass, [F] man.
[E] Kill all the flags [Eb] that go [Fm] on the way.
Shattered by fire, [Bb] set in [Ab] fires.
There's not a way [Eb] out, [F] young man.
_ [C] _ Just _ cause.
_ _ _ Just cause because of [F] the pressure.
_ I've paid [Db] to see many different [Ab] _ from all [Eb] the lies.
_ [F] _ _ This [Db] is the time in the _ [Ab] past of [C] our lives.
_ [F] _ I've paid [Db] to see many different [Ab] from all [Eb] the lies.
[E] _ [F] _ _ This [Db] is the time in the [Ab] _ past [C] of our lives. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ This is the lies on [F]
holiday.
[Db] _ _ _ [Ab] _ _ [Eb] _ _
[Fm] _ _ [Db] _ _ [Ab] _ _ [Eb] _ _
[F] _ _ [Db] _ _ [Ab] _ [Eb] In glass. _
[F] _ _ [Db] _ _ [Eb] _ _ [F] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ You know, it's, [Db] it's, I don't know what,
the _ _ _ way it feels on tour is like there's always certain smells
and there's always certain things that you see every day,
you know, whether it's body odor
to _ _ _ the smell of the trucks outside
to _ seeing the crew and the guys every day.
It's kind of like [Ab] a, it's a traveling circus in a lot of ways
and you see the same characters every single day.
_ _ [Db] _ _ _
[Bb] _ Wait!
_ They don't love you like I love you.
_ _ Wait!
_ They don't love you like [F] I love you.
_ Wait!
Wait!
_ [Fm] _ _ _ We got a countdown about 30 minutes before we go on. _ _
_ [Db] _ _ _ _ _ [Dm] _ _
_ [Ebm] _ [Bb] _ _ _ _ _ _
[Em] Usually I [Gb] have a little practice [Eb] amp and one [E] guitar
and one of us will pick it up and we kind of sing through,
we all sing some vocals [F] and get our vocals in line
and there's [Em] usually a lot of goofing around in that too.
[Ab] _
[Dm] _ [Bm] Here are [Gb] the [Bb] rules.
[C]
Hey!
_ _ [Gb] _ [Abm] _ _ [Cm] _ _
_ _ [Gb] _ [Ab] _ Here are the rules.
_ To live, _ [Db] but not [Abm] to play
To _ [Gb] _ _ [Abm] _
die _ _ in tragedy
_ _ _ [Ab] You _ run _ and run _ away _
[Abm] _ To find _ what you believe
[Ab] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [Eb] _ _ There's that [Ab] struggle to stay healthy,
_ _ there's a struggle to party, to not party.
_ _ [G] Oh!
_ [D] _ _ Right _ _ _ _ here.
_ Everything that you do during the day
leads up to what your evening is going to be like,
_ or not be like, because it could be completely unpredictable.
You could be having the worst day ever.
_ _ Everything's gone, your girlfriend broke up with you,
your dog got hit by a car, your life is in complete turmoil,
and then that night you have this great show
and then you kind of, there's that feeling of fuck everybody,
who cares, I don't give a shit, fuck the dog, dog's dead.
But all these people are freaking [Cm] out.
_ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ And then you walk offstage, and then all of a sudden
you're worried about what's going on at home
and _ _ _ you're back to your life
and trying to communicate with people at home. _
_ Sometimes _ people use touring as a cure-all for their problems.
It's a great place [Bb] to run away from all your problems.
[Ab] _
Which [Eb] one's the fillies? _ _ _
_ _ It's a different [N] reality altogether,
but as soon as that reality's over with,
or that fantasy life is over with,
all of a sudden you're at home again, there it is.
Home is right there, and _ you're forced to deal with things. _
And then you have a terrible show, _ _ and everything sucks.
That day sucks. _
You throw your guitar at somebody, or your bass at somebody,
or your drumstick at somebody _ with bad intent.
Then there's those times where that is your family,
that is who you are, you know, that is your home. _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Bb] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[B] _ _ That's my jam, yo!
_ [N] _
