Today I want to [D] show you [Em] the Gretsch _ _ G5420T in what [G] has become known as Gretsch Orange. _ _ _

_ _ _ [G] _ Gretsch began producing guitars in the _ 1930s.
In the [Am] 50s, Mr.
[G] Guitar, Chet Atkins, became an endorsee.
In the 60s, Beatle George [A] Harrison, Brian [G] Jones from the Rolling Stones, and many more
British Invasion rock stars flew the Gretsch flag.

_ _ [C] The [G] G5420 is from the affordable Gretsch Electromatic Series.
[C] The 2 3 quarter inch deep body [Gm] is made of 5 ply [Gbm] maple and [G] features sound [C] post bracing.
[G] Sound post bracing is a vertical [C] wooden dowel that is under the bridge that connects the
[G] top of the body to the back of the body [D] and its main function is to [G] prevent feedback.
The body features binding on the [C] top and back and [G] it also has F-hole binding.

_ [G] _ _ [C] The 24 1⁄2 inch scale [G] maple neck [Eb] has a rosewood fingerboard [Db] [G] with 22 medium jumbo frets, [Bb] binding,
[D] and hump block inlays. _

[Db] The _ [G] G5420T has an adjust-o-matic bridge [D] with a rosewood bass and a Bigsby [A] licensed [G] V60 vibrato.

_ _ Other features include a silver [D] plexi pickguard, knurled strap [Gm] retainer knobs, and [D]
classic
Gretsch G tone and volume knobs.

_ _ _ [Gm] One really cool thing about the Gretsch _ [D] G5420T guitars is [G] that they took an old [C] Filtertron
pickup and pulled it apart to see what made it tick [Am] and from [Gm] that they built these great
[G] Gretsch black top Filtertrons.
They're very powerful, punchy, and they have that great Gretsch twang that everybody's looking for. _ _ _
