Now I have a very pleasant surprise for all of you.
It comes from up there.
It comes from space.
See, I have a few friends.
Some of them are cosmonauts, some of them are astronauts.
[A#m] And they are flying around [G#m] over the planet as we [F#] speak right now.
They are in the International [D#] Space Station.
[F#] And they are going [N] around the Earth at incredible speeds.
Something like once every 90 minutes.
And they tell me that they can see us from space.
They definitely saw us through the fireworks.
Anyway, the commander of the [D] International Space [F] Station,
my very [D] good friend, Commander [N] Scott Kelly,
has a message for all of us on Earth.
And I'd like to hear it.
[C#] [F#]
[N]
Good evening, Yanni, Egypt, [D#] and the world.
Welcome to the Dream Concert.
[B] This is Commander Scott Kelly on board the International Space Station.
I wanted to reach out from space and send all of you on Earth a very special hello.
[A] I often fly over the Great Pyramids, the Nile River, and [E] Cairo,
and [C#] see their glowing lights from this incredible vantage point.
During daylight, the [A] colors of our planet Earth are breathtaking.
And without political borders as we see in a map,
it appears we are all part of the same global [E] community,
one which radiates [A] peace and hope.
I truly hope that one day all of mankind can see Earth as it appears from [D] space,
and we can all [A] live in peace and happiness.
And I hope to see all of you soon back on [C#m] planet Earth.
[D]
[E] Ha [A] ha!
Woo!
Ha ha ha ha!
Woo!
[D] Thank you, Scott.
[N] Amazing.
These people, all of them, are a special breed.
[F#] I have seen them [D] train.
They're good [E] friends of mine, a lot of them.
[D#] [N] They're from all over the world.
And what they do for us is incredible.
And it takes a very special human being to be able to do what they do.
It's extremely difficult.
They put their [D#] lives on the line [F#] every [N] single day.
And in doing [F] so, they're inspiring [E] the whole planet.
[Dm] They're inspiring all of [N] humanity.
I'd like to thank you guys.
Thank you if you're up there and you can see us.
Thank you for what you do for all of us.
Keep on doing it.
We need you.
