It's essentially a tune from the Appalachian Mountains in the U.S.
I learned this when I was 17 from a friend of mine.
She was from Appalachia.
Her mother had taught it to her.
_ I sort of mixed that up with the raga.
I'm going _ to mix the two of them together right now when I play it on this instrument.

_ _ _ _ I ended up in India in 1979 [Eb] and I really liked it.
[D] I think I spent the last money I had on a sitar.
So in 1986 I moved back there and I stayed about 12 years in India.

The creator of this instrument, Vishwa [D] Mohan Bhatt, he took a six-string guitar and he
told me the sound of the six strings was a little lonely.
_ So he added another 14 strings which pretty much cured that loneliness problem.
He renamed the instrument the Mohan Veena. _ _ _

Some people told me about this island and said it's full of [Eb] _ [D] artists and people, misfits
of [Dm] various social types.
I said that's my place.

finally got ourselves a home.
