The [Eb] melody is actually [Gm] based on the [Ab] Jewish scale, [F] also [Ab] known as the Phrygian dominant
scale or the [Cm] Phrygian _ major [Db] scale or the [E] Alta Phrygian scale or the [Em] Spanish [Ab] Gypsy scale
_ [E] or what they would say at Berklee, [Eb] the Mixolydian flat 9, [Bb]
flat 13 scale.
[Ab] I'm going to call it the Jewish scale.
Fits the song _ [E] perfectly I'd say.
So we take a [Gm] thorough look at that as well, how it [E] works, because it's also the fifth
mode of the [Bb] harmonic minor scale. _ _
