Hey guys, what's up?
This is Jen.
We're gonna be doing I'm so tired by the Beatles, which
I cannot relate to because I am awake and alert.
No, just kidding.
I stole that from
Jon Stewart.
I saw that on the Daily Show the other night.
I thought it was pretty funny.
[Gb] Maybe you didn't.
I don't care.
Don't judge me.
[Bb]
[Bb] Relatively, it's an okay, it's a mid-range
song.
It's not super easy.
It's not super difficult.
Not a lot of chords happening,
but stay with me.
Let's get going.
[E] Start it off.
[E] Open E, [Gb]
F sharp, which on the second
fret sixth string, [Abm] G sharp, which is [C] on the fourth fret sixth string.
That's how [E] we open
it.
[Ab] Now we go [Bb] to A, [A] and the strumming is gonna be the same throughout [Bb] in the verse.
[A] I like
to do A this way, but it's one and a E and.
Down, down, up, up, down.
Okay?
So move [E] to
[Ab] G sharp seven,
[E] D [D] major, E major.
You [Em] do A [A] major, [Em] F sharp [Gbm] minor, D [D] major again, [E] E major.
[Bb] So now coming out of that first [C] verse, you hear the electric guitar come in.
So you can
kind of do a comp of the rhythm and the lead for this one, because there's not that much
happening with lead, so we're not gonna do a separate video for it.
So you can hit it
really hard on two and four when you're doing the strumming.
[A] So we're doing A major, E augmented,
which is [Bb] awesome, [Gbm] F sharp minor, [Dm] D minor.
So you're gonna do [G] one, [A]
two, [C] three, four, [Gb] one,
two, now [Bb] bar of, [Cm] back to four, one, [Dm] two, three, four.
So that [N] F sharp minor is a bar of two.
So
you can [A] do one, two, [E] three, [Gb] four, one, two, [D] one, [Dm] two, three, four, and then you repeat the whole
verse.
And I just did a little arpeggiation on that D minor.
You can do whatever you want.
I
like the, I think you can hear it slightly, something like that, one, two, three.
[A] Now for
the chorus, do old school, we're gonna go to this A right here, A [E] five.
[Bb] We're gonna do [A] one,
and now stretch your pinky to the ninth [Gb] fret on the fifth string, [A] two, and.
So one, and two,
and.
And we've got this great little lick right here, [Gb] where you're on the ninth fret on the fourth
and third string.
[Bb] You hammer on to 11 on the fourth [B] string, and then just hit nine on the
third string.
So [E] it's like, [A]
[A]
[Gb] [Bb]
now we're gonna do E, [E]
so it's like an E power [B] chord, [E] but then go to the
fourth fret, fifth string, do that [Dbm] same lick, [Bb] and then we're gonna go to D, [A] stay on D for a full
measure, one, and
[D]
[E] then end on A.
So let's go through that chorus one more time.
So you go,
[A]
[Em] [E]
[Bb]
whoo, I like that chorus quite a bit.
And then when you go to the end of the song, the tag,
it's just D to A over and over again.
[E]
One, [D] and two, and three, four, [E] and [Bb]
that's it.
That's it
for I'm So [C] Tired.
I [Bb]
don't have anything to say to [Bb] end this.
