[Gm] Hey, what's up you guys?
Marty Schwartz here from GuitarJams.com.
Gonna bring [B] you a really fun chord progression.
Heavily requested actually and now that I think about it my mom has always wanted me
to do this one as well.
So I'm gonna do it right now.
I have some bonus features, some free lessons, more guitar learning materials.
You can click the link below down there to check that stuff out.
But let's do this lesson right now.
Here we go.
Alright, so the intro's got a 12 string guitar, a lot of fancy multiple layered guitars going
but the underlying thing is basically a D [D] chord, E [Em] minor, [G] G, and [D] then D.
And [Bm] you can
always play [E] with the open high E, the [F#] second fret, [Gm] and the third fret on any of those [D] chords
[Em]
[G] [Bm] [D]
or just on the D chord, you know, depending on what level [Fm] you're at.
But basically [D] once it ends on that D, then we're gonna go D, [G] G, [A] like little hits.
Wake up [G] Marty, I think I've got another [D] song for you to [A] teach.
Alright, so we've got [D] D, G, [A] A, [G] G, [D] D, D, D.
Does it again.
[A] A to [G] the G, [D] then to the D.
Now, [A] a rhythm.
[G]
[A#]
Next [A]
[G]
[D]
[A] [G]
[D]
[D#] section.
Next section.
G.
[G]
[D] [G]
[A] Which is [G] kinda cool, it's fun.
[D] [G]
[Em]
[F#m]
[Em]
So there's another little section there and it's an E minor chord, then the next chord
is an F sharp minor, which is the exact same thing as E minor up a whole step.
So then our finger has to be like a capo, see that?
But what we want to do is bar it and then get our ring finger and our pinky finger.
[F#] And then you can use your middle finger to press down harder right here.
In fact, this is a perfect progression if you're working on bar chords, because there's
only one in there.
[F#m]
Back to [Em] E minor.
[N] So basically you're just gonna park, you're gonna park at E minor for a minute, regroup
your thoughts, and then go back and do another progression.
So let me do everything from the top, maybe you can play along with me, I'll say the chords
as we go.
So, [D] D with a tickle, [Em] minor, [G] G,
[D] D, D, [A] G, A,
[G] G, [D] D, D, D, [A] A, A, A, [G] A, A, G, [D] D, D, D.
Now we're gonna go to G.
[G] G, D, G, D, [D] G, D, [G] G, D, G, [A] D, A, [Em] O, E minor, to [F#m] F sharp minor, back [Em] to E minor, then we park it.
[A#]
Now, the next four beats start still on E minor, and it's E minor, back to A, E minor
to A, E minor to A, to D.
And then you got it, check [Em] it out.
[A]
[A] [Em] E minor, A, A, A, [D] A, D, [A] A, A, A, A, A, [G] A, A, A, [D] A, A, [A] A, A, A, A, [G] A, A, A, A, A, A,
[D]
[G]
[D] A, [G]
[A] [Em]
[F#m] [Em]
[A]
[A] [Em] [A]
[Em]
A, [D] A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A, A
[Bm] Okay, so the chords for the guitar [Em] solo are E minor, [A] A, A, A, [D] D, D, D, D, [G] G, then the second [Em] time E minor, [G] G, G, G, G, [D] D
[E] And all the [D] licks in the solo are all from the D major pentatonic, [F#] that's the fifth fret
[Bm] [F#]
And that'll be for another lesson to break that whole little bit down, but it's right in that scale
And that's all [A] you need for the tune
[G]
[A] [D]
Alright, thanks for hanging with [G] me, I hope you had fun
And I've got more bonus stuff down there, otherwise I'll see you in another video lesson real soon Take care
