[F]
[Gm] Welcome [Bb] to Eric Blackmon [D] Music.
[Fm] [Ab] I'm crazy [Gm] when I'm smoking, I don't know [Ab] why I do.
[Cm]
[Db] Hi, [E] and welcome to my tutorial on how to play Spooky by the Classics 4 on acoustic or electric guitar.
The guitar is tuned standard.
E, [A] A, [Gm] D, G, [Em] B, E.
We're going to play the verses and the choruses of the song by playing two chords this way.
Two, three, [Fm] four.
One.
[Gm]
[F] [Ab]
[Gm] [F] [Ab]
[Gm] [Ab]
[Gm] [Cm] [Ab]
[Gm] We'll be repeating that.
Okay.
[Fm]
The first chord was F minor 7 formed this way.
[N]
The second chord was B flat 6 formed this [Gm] way.
I'm strumming that chord from the D string down, and I strum the F minor 7 from the A string [Fm] down.
[Ab]
Now when we get to the pre [Gm]-chorus, it'll be played this way.
[Fm] [Ab] Let's just know we're talking about the night, and then [Gm] we stop [Bm] and say,
I'll [Fm] never [Ab] get to be there [Gm] with a spooky lady like [Ab] you.
[Cm] In order to play that, we went [Fm] to our F minor 7, B flat [Gm] 6, [N]
and then we're going to go to an A flat diminished chord like [Ab] this.
Then we'll resume, [Gm]
[Fm]
and [Cm] then we'll go to a C minor 7 formed this way.
[Eb]
Now for that [C] one, I'm holding down the D, G, B, and high E string with my index finger and bringing my thumb across the top for this chord.
Now [A] I'm muting [Dbm] the A string.
[Cm]
Now if you can't do that, you can use a [E] C minor 7 that's played like [Cm] this.
That's a bar C minor 7.
Now I've got my ring finger going to the 10th fret as far as the A string is concerned, and barring everything at fret 8.
So that's an [Ab] alternative for you.
I just [Cm] like this one.
After you've done that, you're going to go [D] back into [Fm] your normal strumming pattern.
[Ab] [Gm]
[F] [Ab]
[Gm] [Bbm] And believe it or not, that's about all there is to this song.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day.
