Hi there, this is Gagliasso Frudo again for another tutorial on how to play the Beatles
exactly like the records.
And today we will go again through the guitar of Michel.
If you remember I already made a video about it at the beginning of the year, but I missed
a goodie, another of these fantastic Beatles strikes, you know, which I discovered lately.
So I would like to start it over again for you, because I noticed that there isn't any
tutorial around on how the guys really play the guitar on Michel.
So this is what we will do now.
So first take a capo and count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and here just right before the fifth metal
fret here, put the capo here.
Be careful to put it 5 mm from the metal fret and parallel to the fret, so it will not hurt
and affect your tuning, listen.
[Em]
[A] [Am] [G] Ok, so you don't have to tune your guitar again and retouch the tuning.
Let's start with the introduction.
The notes that I play in the [B] introduction are this [Fm] one.
[Ab] [Eb] [Ab]
[G] [D] [Gbm] [F]
[Bbm] [Db] [B] [Cm]
[G] This is like a normal G with this finger added here.
Now watch how you have to play them.
You take a pick [Fm] and then you pick the first note and the other two notes, you play them
with your fingers and then you have to slide the first one [Ab] and [D] [Ab]
[Db] [Bbm] [Db] [C]
[Db] slide [C] this one too.
The [E] whole thing sounds like [Fm] this.
[Ab] [D] [Db]
[Bbm] [Db] [C]
[G] Ok, and this was the introduction.
Now let's go through the verse.
Let's now go through the various chords of the verse.
So the first one is, you play this like a C, a normal C, so here, here and here with
this little finger [F] added here.
It sounds like this.
[N] Now comes the strange part.
The Beatles recorded two different guitars with Michel and one now plays a major chord
and the other one together with the first one plays a minor.
So there is a minor chord played together with a major, which sounds crazy, but sounds incredible.
And this is another genius strike by the Beatles.
So the second chord [Bbm] is made like here, [A] here, here and here.
[Bbm]
Ok?
[Db] And one guitar makes this.
And [D] the other one makes this, you know, here, here and here, with three notes.
So the other [Dm] one actually plays a major where the [Bbm] first one plays a [Db] minor.
[D] The two notes are singing together [Em] and they give this strange [N] but incredibly charming,
jazzy tone, you know.
[F]
[Ab] If you hear the record, you can really hear that.
But [Db] together with this note as [Ab] well.
So it's much more strange than just this one alone, you know.
[F] So Michel, [D] ma belle, [Ab]
sole mon.
It's fantastic.
Then there is another chord where you play this last one, two, three, four, five notes
with your little [Eb] finger and then this [G] way.
And then there is a passage made by [Ab] playing this [D] chord here, [F]
[D] [Ab]
[D] this way.
[F] And [G] [C] then the chord [N] that looks like a G with this finger at it.
And [D] then this chord again.
[B]
[E] [Dm] Here, here, here [Em] and here.
[Ab]
[D] [G] Look at this.
[C] [Abm] This way.
The whole thing sounds [F] like this.
[Bb]
[Db] [Cm]
[D] [F] [C]
[B] [C]
[Cm]
[D] [F] [C]
[B] [C]
[Eb] [B]
[C] [G] [C]
The next one is the middle eight.
So the middle eight is pretty simple.
[Fm] You start here.
You see the chord.
I love you, I love you, I love you.
And [G] then the next chord is like a C7 played [Ab] here.
And you have to stop this string with your [G]
finger here and this string with your thumb here.
So this [Ab] sounds like this.
Okay, [Em] so.
[Fm]
[Ab] [Db]
[C]
[Fm] [G] Okay, very simple.
Let me show you this [Fm] one again, slow.
[Ab]
[Db]
[C] [Fm]
And then there is the [A] introduction again.
[Fm] Okay, [N]
okay.
This is pretty the whole song, how it is played on the record.
The last thing I would like to focus your attention on is the intention, you know, the
way the guitar were played when [F] we're not playing, you know, normally.
[Bb] [Db] [Am]
[Eb] [E] But when we're playing in a sort of [F] jazzy, it's a jazzy style.
So thanks [Db]
[Eb] [B]
[C] [G] [C]
[N] again for staying with me for this new tutorial.
I really enjoyed this one because, you know, I like discovering nice Beatles thing into their song.
And yeah, maybe it's a bit different than the others that you are accustomed to hear
and learn from.
But I hope you like this one.
Send me your comments.
Feel free to send me your videos if you want to play with my, you know, suggestion and whatever.
Thanks for staying with me.
[E] [Fm] [C] [Fm] [Bbm]
[C] [F]
exactly like the records.
And today we will go again through the guitar of Michel.

[F]
[Ab] If you hear the record, you can really hear that.
But [Db] together with this note as [Ab] well.

I love you, I love you, I love you.
And [G] then the next chord is like a C7 played [Ab] here.

[Bb] [Db] [Am]
[Eb] [E] But when we're playing in a sort of [F] jazzy, it's a jazzy style.
So thanks [Db]
[Eb] [B]
