[D] We're here at the [Gm] British Music [G] Experience and this tells the history [A] of rock and [Gm] roll
from the British point of view and I suppose Geoff fits right in the middle of it all.
[F] There's no boundaries, [G] I mean he's in the studio at the [F] moment, [G] we just popped out to
do this [Gm] show tonight and [Bb] the masterclass today and then back [Am] in the studio where he's [Bb] going
really [Dm] into a much [G] wider area, [Gm] working on some classic material, [C] classic songs and great
[Gm]
rock songs as well as some new stuff.
So there are [C] no boundaries really and there seems [Dm] to
be a [Am] list as long as your arm of people that want to work with him so
[Dm] we're just kind of
[F] filtering it through [B] and also Geoff's very good [Dm] because he loves working [G] with new people,
new [Gm] artists and new ideas.

What [Cm] we've done today with this masterclass [Eb] is a [Ab] first of a complete [C] new series [Fm] of events
where we're going to get classic artists to come in and just talk about [C] their history
and play a little bit and [Db] explain [Gm] what they're doing and then do a little show afterwards,
[Cm] hopefully something different.
What we're trying to do here at [Gm] the B [Ab]&B is have a whole
series of [Eb] firsts and [Bb] I think that's part of what we need to [Eb] do in British Music Heritage,
you need to [Fm] just change things around a bit and [C]
really the whole idea of this is to meld
interesting [D] forms of music together [C] and at the same time respect the mastery, [Ab] the wizardry
of the artist's concern and that's really what we're trying to [D] do.
[C] We've

[A] got Gang of Four coming, we've got I'm Maiden [D] coming, we're going to get Chris Rea
coming, he's managed [C] to come down tonight.
[Em] [Bm] I'd like to get Peter Gabriel to do it, although
I haven't quite asked him yet but I think he will.
Just really all of the icons that
span our [D] history and some of the current ones, just talk [E] about their influences, how they
play, exactly [B] as we did today where Geoff [F] explained the way he plays and [G] some of the
influences on his life and how he's come to be where he is.
