David, Pete, that was great, mate.
Thank you.
A week before Christmas, Pete and I and Mike over there
went and did a little show with my daughter Sam.
She's formed this ukulele orchestra.
There's about 50 of them.
And we promised we'd go and do a show with them.
And she booked the Village Hall.
And we went down there the week before Christmas in two inches of ice.
And when we got there in this tiny little village, miles from anywhere,
there was more people in the band than there was in the audience.
Which was strange because the night before we played to 8,000 people
with Status Quo in Glasgow.
But I tell you what, I had a fantastic time.
And to hear all these amateur ukulele players,
and the ukulele really is a wonderful instrument.
And they're easy to play.
Anyone can play one in a couple of days.
They should put them on the National Health, mate.
I'm telling you, they cheer people up.
Anyway, we went and played with this little ukulele orchestra.
And I tell you what, we had a wonderful time.
To hear them all just amateur, you know, just trying to get it right
and playing 50 of them or so.
It was just a wonderful evening.
And they did a song on the show which I've always liked this song.
It's an old cowboy song.
But it was featured in a film called Oh Brother Where Art Thou?
[B] And it's called In The Jailhouse Now.
In the jailhouse now, boys.
