Hello, I'm John Doan [C#] and I am a recording artist with Acoustic Music Records.
And I just completed an album of music called A Celtic Pilgrimage on a 20-string harp guitar.
The [Em] instrument is a regular guitar in the middle,
[E] but then it has bass [Cm] notes that keep
[B] going down in [D] pitch [Em] a full octave, like white keys of [G#] the piano.
And then there's notes on the other side that [E] start at the 12th fret and go all the way
up like white keys of the piano [E] or whatever scale you want to play.
[C#]
So the idea of the [F#] harp guitar is it adds range, it adds resonance, so every note you
play is big and full, and it also allows you to play music that sounds like two or three
people are playing.
Because on a guitar you usually have to do two things, finger and pluck, where on a harp
guitar you can hit one note and be done, and go off and play your melody.
So I hope you enjoy this music.
