I made it up.
I can't write music but I can make it up.
I know the music has survived down here probably more than most places and there are more fiddle
players here certainly.
There seems to be more fiddle players here than any place.
You think that's because Texans are very patriotic?
Well I think Texans are proud of being Texans and I think at some point [D] in time the fiddle
kind of became synonymous with Texas along with rodeo and cowboy hats and boots and everything
else and so I think that's helped it survive down here.
I'll tell you what really made it survive Alvin is you think back a hundred years ago
there wasn't anything else to do in Texas.
Yep.
Except put the fiddle in.
Put the fiddle dry land there wasn't any lakes to fish in.
That's the reason all the old fiddlers have large families.
You know did you ever hear anybody practice on a fiddle learn how to learn like
[Am] [F#] Those fiddlers wives would do anything to get them to stop practicing.
