[D] [A] [N] So nice.
Thank you.
So Anna, David installed this beautiful set on your guitar earlier this year.
Yes.
And you had by now some opportunity to experience it and especially play it on stage.
Yes.
So can you give us some feedback?
It's so great to be here today with you and to realize what an important part the tuners have.
We as musicians really don't pay enough attention to tuners [G] and they're such an important part [Ab] of the instrument.
So I was so fortunate to have met you and to have [N] you bring this beautiful set to me.
And not only that they're gorgeous visually, but they serve such an important purpose in what we do.
So I've went through so many different sets in my life and this is the first one that really makes my job so much easier.
Thank you.
So thank you for doing that, for bringing this to our attention as musicians.
My pleasure.
Tuning should be done very quickly and this is what your tuners do.
Exactly.
So they give you confidence.
Yes, absolutely.
In between movements at the concert you need to check the tuning.
Right.
Or even totally have a different tuning.
Yes, yes.
Sometimes you have to retune.
For me I try to really do it as quickly as possible.
So [E] sometimes if I [D] retune in between the movements, I'll give you an example.
Let's say [G] my D and A string [D] were a little bit out of tune.
[A]
[Em] And this is what happens when [F]
[D] we
Right.
[A] So you didn't have to [N] detune.
You could just simply bring it back up to pitch.
And this is so smooth.
And there's no sound or no creaks.
This is [D] very, very smooth.
And it gets right to where you need it.
Of course you have to [N] listen to it. Of course.
Of course you can use [D] your ear, but it's very, very smooth.
[Am] Because it's not jumpy.
You have one smooth movement that brings it right to the pitch where you [A] want to be.
[N] And if you overshot time a little bit, you still can just tweak it back rather than going all [G] the way back and then coming back up.
And that's what really takes the time.
[N] Yes, absolutely.
It really relaxes you.
Because when the tuning is not quite right
It throws you off.
Yes, it throws
Exactly.
It adds a lot of pressure.
Instead of concentrating on the music, you start worrying, when do I have a chance to bring it back into tune?
Yes, which takes away from the music.
Right.
So that's why I think the tuners are such an important part of the guitar.
And I'm so glad that you are here to bring this to our attention.
Thank you.
And to make us realize how important they are.
So thank you.
