Hi, I'm Richie [D] Zellin and today I want to share with you the first in a series of phrases by guitarist Kenny Burrell.
Kenny Burrell is one of the most influential
jazz guitarists from the 1950s.
He's also known as one of the bluesiest
guitarists in jazz.
This is a major
2-5-1 phrase in the key of C, and it has an eighth note swing feel.
If you haven't already done so, I recommend that you download the music and tab so that you can follow along.

Okay, that sounds a lot like a Charlie Parker phrase.
Here it goes real slow.
