[Db] Let the church say [Ab] Amen.
[Abm] Let the church [B] say [Db] Amen.
[Eb]
[Db] God has spoken.
[Eb] Let [Ab] the church [Gb] [Ab] say [Db] Amen.
[Ab]
[Fm] [Bbm] [Ebm] [Db]
[Abm] Boy, it's been a long time since I heard a song that just got me the first time like that one.
I love it, I love it, I love it.
Alright, [N] tell it my age.
Alright, if you know the number system that I teach in D flat and circle of fourths, it's going to be easy.
Alright, so it starts out with the three chord.
[Db] Let the church, [Eb] alright remember the three chord?
But we're going to invert it to make it a little fuller.
We're going to put the E flat on the other [Db] side so we end up with A flat, D flat, E flat, A flat, same chord, right?
And to [Bm] start off we're going to do a little major, [Db] minor, major, a little D [Ebm] [Ab] [Db] flat major, [Ebm] D flat minor, [B] and then [Db] [Ebm] let the [Db] [Ab] church,
see how that goes backward from the A [F] flat to the F sharp to [Gb] F.
[Db] Let the church say [Ab] Amen.
Now that's A flat.
Now at different parts of the song they use a different base on man.
At first they'll use a C.
[Db] Let the church [Ab] say Amen.
[Db] And later on [Eb] they'll say, [Db] let the church [Fm] say Amen.
[F] And keep that F there.
Now [Db] I like, [Ebm] let [Db] the church say [Ab] Amen.
And if you listen to the song you'll hear different parts there.
Alright, that's the A flat in the right hand with F sharp and E flat.
[Gb] Let the [Abm] [B] church say [Db] [Bbm] Amen.
Okay, [Ebm] that's the major, minor, [B] major again, church.
The five chord in the circle of fourths, if you don't know the [Bb] circle of fourths and you don't follow [Ab] this, look up the circle of fourths in D flat.
A flat, [Ebm] F sharp, [B] B flat, B, E flat.
Church [Db] say, drop the thumb when you go to the one chord, [Gb] Amen.
And four chord, [Fm] [Gb]
[Gbm] God [Db] has spoken.
Now there's several ways you can do [Gbm] that.
God [Db] has spoken.
Now [Gbm] that's [A] kind of like the big three chord, right?
A, [Bb] which is the F sharp, [G] nine sharp, nine, but here it's E flat [A] diminished.
A, [Eb] D flat, E [Gbm] flat, F sharp.
But you can reach and get the A flat, right?
See how you get that A flat before you get that F sharp?
[A] [Eb] You can even walk down the scale, A flat, [A] F sharp, [Eb] F, E flat.
[Ab] Okay, now [Eb] on that you can say, [Db] and of course that's back to D [Ab] flat [Db]
with A flat in the bass.
Or you [Gbm] can say, [Gb] let's see, [Eb] [F] E flat, [Gb] F, [Eb] F sharp, E [Ab] flat, [Eb] A flat, or one, two, three, [Ab] four, two, [Eb] five.
God [Db] has [Abm] spoken.
Or you can [Gbm] say, [Db] God has spoken, right?
[B] [Gbm] With B, [Db] A, or you [Eb] can even say.
[Db] [Eb] Which is E [Db] flat, D [B] flat, [A] B, A, A [Eb] flat.
[Gbm] [B] [Db]
Right.
God has spoken.
[Eb]
Now our two chord, [Db] remember our two in [Eb] circle of fourths?
[Db] When you go from six [Cm] to two.
[Db] We're going to [B] make it a little more [C] traditional.
[Db] So we're going to separate that C and that D [Gb] flat, put that [Eb] C on B.
It's good old fashioned traditional dominant.
Which is E flat, [Gm] B flat, G, [Bbm] B flat, D flat, [Eb] F.
Let [Ab] the church.
Okay.
[G] Let's see, [Eb] go back a little bit.
[Db] God has spoken.
There's [Eb] the two.
Let the [Ab] church.
Alright, so now this is a major minor again.
When you got A flat major, [Bbm] you put that B flat minor [F] before you go to the A [Bbm] flat minor.
[Ab] Let the church.
Okay.
[Gb] [Ab] [Db] Say amen.
[Ab] The church.
Now you're going to [B] go to F [Gb] sharp major with B flat in the base.
[Ab] Back to the A flat again with C in the base.
[Gb] Okay.
[C] [Db] So that's going to do that [Ab] all through that song.
[Gb] [Ab] [Db]
Okay.
God has spoken.
[Eb] Let [Ab] the church.
So that five [Bb] going to one.
[Ab] Say [Db] amen.
[Fm] [Db] [Ab]
[Fm] [Bbm] [Ebm] [Db] Okay.
What [Abm] that is, is you get ready to go to A [Ebm] flat with the F [Eb] over the top.
F sharp, you're going to say [Db] [C] [Db] C, D flat and then say [Ab] [Gb] that's F sharp, E flat.
And then on the right hand, E [Ab] flat, A flat, C.
And [Ebm] walk down the scale, [Ab] B flat, [Gb] A flat, F sharp.
[Fm] And then, [Bbm] [Ebm] [Fm] okay, that's your three chord.
Which is F minor seven, F, A flat, C, E flat, A flat.
[Bbm] That's B flat.
[D] Well, we're going to take [Ab] the minor ninth out.
This is [Gb] traditional.
We don't want those [Bb] in there.
B flat, [Db] A flat, D flat, F, [Ebm] two, right?
Which [Gb] is E flat minor seven.
[Db] And then [Gb] back to the [Db] church.
Say [Ab] amen.
Let [Abm] the church [B] [Bbm] say amen.
[Db]
[A] [Db] God has spoken.
[Eb] Same thing again.
[A] [Db] Spoken [Eb] to.
Let [Ab] the church [Gb]
[Ab] say [Db] amen.
[Ab]
[Bbm] [Ebm] Okay.
And then.
[Ab]
Now, there's [N] only two parts to that song.
So if you got that first part, you've got halfway done.
